How many people owning a cryptocurrency do you know personally? In my case, this is 5% of the total number of friends, but usually this figure is 1-2%. If you have these numbers similar, then you can be sure that we are still early adopters and will remain so until this numbers changes to 20% or more.

We are the early adopters but it doesn't make us the most profitable persons for holding cryptos. It increases the chances but the early coins would surely be replaced by newer and advance coins in the future making current offerings obsolete. But that's for the future, we would still have a good profit if we know when to buy and when to sell.

So what do you think, do you think we are still early adopters or that the train already left the station?
Neither. We're not early adopters but we're still not to late to get in the train. By early adopters I mean it's unrealistic to expect 1000x return from crypto nowadays. But still, I'd say the future is still looking bright for crypto. I see that crypto was meant for something bigger than we currently have today.

So what are your opinions about it? Do you agree with me or not?
some things are too new to take it without suspicions. i guess governments themselves haven't decided yet what to do with crypto and what effect it may cause. difficult to grasp the essense of it

Not early adopters to bitcoin or ethereum or ripple or anything that big anymore. That is for sure, those have already seen insane numbers, however considering the prices fell down a lot than you can still get in cheap, that won't make you an early adopter but a good trader to buy low and sell it high. However if you want to call yourself early adopter you can still find altcoins and ICO's that are new and upcoming and you can invest into those and maybe they will do great and you can profit from them.

To be an early adopter doesn't really mean you need to make profits neither, you can get in early on some shitty coin and lose a lot of money, you would technically be early adopter of something, just something bad.

Still young.

There is way too much space for others to fill in.
I dont think it will happen soon. Maybe another 5 years before people see the real light of what crypto currencies could do with their life.
Some companies are already using it for a better purpose, so we may have to just push that to be broader.

I just dont want to see the government using it for an evil purpose. It will die in an instant.

I agree with the op that we are still early adopters of blockchain. There are about 22 million bitcoin wallets and less than 2 million (shocking, by the way, if that's true) ethereum wallets. Even is we say that eth and btc users are all different people and there is about one wallet per person + some other weird wallets of other cryptos, we won't get more than 25 million people. We get about 0.3% of crypto users among the population of our planet. This is an extremely low mark, so I guess we could say that even another 100 million people who join in the future will be among the very early ones.

I believe we are. Not like people in 2011 but we are.

Crypto still not getting used by the masses. When it does, we will be sure about this Smiley

As I know maximum 5 percentage of the business only adopted Bitcoin and blockchain platform to use in the marketplace. Number of ICO project we are seeing is just try only.
With in few years adoption on bitcoin from the banking side will be higher than anything.

I vote that and confirm we all are early adopters.

We are definitely early adopters as only around 1% of worlds population is actively using or trading cryptos at the moment, just imagine when we reach 10, 20 and 30% , i mean cryptos will really blow into really valuable assets once we grow big adoption wise.

We are indeed early adopters. More than half the ward has yet to know or even hear about bitcoin! Can you imagine what would happen if everybody suddenly is informed of bitcoin's and other cryptocurrencie's potential to change the world?

I'd say you are right, now is the time to buy more coins for holding long term.

The answer all depends on crypto's future growth, if it goes mainstream and reaches its full potential then yes we are early adopters, if it doesn't go much further on than where we are currently then evidently the people who invested in the last year or so missed the boat and were late to the party.

if i ask my friends now about crypto, about 50% of them will answer that they have no idea what that supposed to mean and another 50% will say that they know it but feel it's something fishy

I totally submit to you positive arguments and it also brightens my inner self that I'm considered an early adopter too despite the time I joined. I'm still considering myself as such because we have not really had that general adoption that will see the market being a globally recognized market like the forex market.

By the way, third word countries are going strong with cryptocurrency  Grin

There is no way any third countries can develop or going strong solely depends on cryptocurrency, because it brings more harm to them instead of benefit.
if you are wondering why,it is because of manipulation.
just imagine it that your country using Bitcoin as an official currency, what happen to them who has a million Bitcoin on their wallet ? they could become a landlord and your country citizen will become their maid.do you wish something like that to happen?
but it's a different thing if we are talking about blockchain adoption,it might develop any third country because of it.

There is no doubt in that the people holding the crypto currencies were in single digit in percentage when comapred to world's population but the doubt is that we are ever going to use the crypto currencies by 100% of people for the maket to be boomed,I hope that will happen that is why we are speculating about the crypto currencies now.
