I already buy many things to fills my daily needs, and it still buys more because we need to survive in this pandemic. By the way, besides purchasing the daily needs, I also try to save some money to prepare my future, and I already buy some altcoin too related to the crypto worlds. I am sure many people are doing the same thing, and if many people can buy whatever they need, the economy will become stable, and it will rise like before. But the resing of the economy will have new situations and conditions, which is not the same as before.

I believe it's better people spend on what they actually need (good things). And they should also always remember to spend money/time for the "wellbeing" of those in need.
"Consuming things the wrong way" is part of reasons "bad things" are happening in this world.

It is quite ironic that you said "do not let anyone tell you what to do" yet persuading people to buy something. Buying something just like you want to will not make you a "man" but more likely compulsive especially if the thing that you bought is not an essential, or won't help you, considering the situation we are all having and experiencing.

There's this thing called "priority". People not only men, are having priorities in every moment. Every priority has a weigh. If someone will just choose to buy things he wanted, it might really help the economy is some ways but won't help himself for a long run, and that's the thing called "responsibility".

You really don't need to buy something if you don't necessarily need it.

Especially if you're just an average person and you're not one of the richest person in the world that could've waste money into nonsense things.

Sometimes we need to control and spend our money to those things that will benefit ourselves first before the country's economy. Because most of the time, you are not really helping the economy from taxes but you are helping those corrupt politicians to collect your money, and that's what they really do in reality.

But I think that this topic can somehow open someone's mind towards what is happening in the economy and how can we help it recover and support it.

Lol, I find it ridiculous or rather funny to think that a man's worth can now be measured by what he buys or acquire. What happened to those traits such as being responsible, dedication, humility, etc...? - all of which was somehow used to measure a man's worthiness.  Grin

Are you a woman?Only women are saying this "Do this or you're not a man..." type of BS.
I call it "man-shaming". Grin Only simps and Beta males fall for this social engineering s*it.
Yeah, spending is good for the economy, but if I go and buy something I don't need that's a double damage for me-less money and more garbage I don't need. Grin
By the way,I don't enjoy the 2014 song that you shared. Not my type of music...

There are many things now go behind the mind before buying a swell. Because one must take care of the future possibilities as what could happen next how can one take care of themselves and their family as well in case of the crisis deepen. Also, the prices of everything in last few months has shoot up like crazy including groceries. So anyways the spending has increased automatically for same thing which we used to buy before covid. Earning has not rose, but infact for many businesses being shut so it had become zero or going in negative as well due rent, salary to workers etc. This is a big problem persists and not sure how long will it takes to come out of it.

Kidding aside, spending keeps the economy alive. That's true. However, it is equally true that the buying power of the large consuming public is at the mercy of their income. If the consuming public has very low buying power, it probably means that they have low income, too.

You can't really force someone to buy something if they don't have the ability to do so. Not all of us do still have a job amidst this pandemic because some companies and businesses are closed. Sometimes the demand is the sign if people do have some funds to buy what they need in order to contribute to the recover of the economy.

Unfortunately, we lived in a reality that our society is so unfair when it comes to those people who are in needs. Don't hesitate to spend your money if you have spare budget for your wants so that we can somehow help the economic recovery become faster and grow.

I don't request loans~
Well it is true that spending right now is directly helping the economy of the country, but let's be real, most people probably don't even know that spending helps their economy, and even if they did, with the current circumstances of the world, they'd probably go who cares or something. The majority of the public right now is having difficulties budgeting their finances, and even with money given by the government, they'd probably rather save up for priority expenses such as food, clothes, water bills, etc., instead of buying something they don't necessarily need

Let's not even mention how the said situation would last. Especially with how quarantines are coming back ( at least in our area, and afaik, also Japan), which makes income stop coming in once again after that short period of jobs being allowed to work.

I think it won't help the economy if we ought to buy anything indiscriminately because if everyone do what OP is suggesting, at the end people will eventually be buried with debts.

Having said that, I admire those people who only buy their essential needs even if they have the means to buy mostly anything. Imho.

Crypto is not a religion but i like it
Some strange ideas that a real man is someone who only buys what he wants and when he wants. I fully agree rather with the fact that a real man is someone who know what to buy and not loose money. Who can support their family and their children, who knows what they want from life. And to go and buy something right now is childishness and just indulging your base sins and desires.

If the consuming public has very low buying power, it probably means that they have low income, too. Those two concepts are directly correlated.

And so, in the midst of this pandemic where businesses went bankrupt, where unemployment exponentially rose, where people's savings are fast draining, and so on, it is logical that the spending might be reduced to the minimum and probably directed only to the necessities.

Believed in ETH for several years now, and glad to have bought before the 10% pump this morning. Pandemic has really made the economy suffer, and people are finding ways to take profits in any way they can.

In the crypto industry, traders can win if they play it smart, bounties are no longer a thing but grabbed some XEM's for their 1:1 airdrop with their new token, anything that can make me money to go and buy something is key right now.

I don't know if you are serious to this one or just spreading good vibes with sarcasm intended, but I think doing all the things you wanted without considering the circumstances is not the right standard for you to be called a man. It is a sign of irresponsibility (just my opinion tho).

Actually, my phone is now on its salvage value Grin. It shut down yesterday and I'm in the verge of buying new one (besides, it's 5 yrs. old already so why not?). However, I still refuse to do so even I got money. Why? Simply because of the pandemic. I can't prioritize the wants over the needs, as long as my phone is working for another next 5 years then I'm fine with it. At my current status, I can't secure my future if I have the mindset of "live like a king now, live like a poor later).

(By the way, I like the song Smiley.)

I'm buying our groceries. Is that enough for me to say that I'm helping our economy to grow or not? But honestly, the economy will recover moderately as everything is turning back to business. There's no need to challenge as we're all going back to contribute to the economy as soon as the jobs come back and most businesses are.

People are suffering out of the debt that's been got over the past few months to meet their basic needs. Very few governments have provided the citizens with the life needs, while rest are into the policies of corruption even in the hard times of life. Losing the jobs is the major reason, if not everyone might have contributed buying something to boost the economy. Every country's economy can be uplifted if the entire sum of black money that's been with the politicians.
