This seems like a bad idea
Why? i'm giving merits only if the user truly deserves it.

making a thread about it is unnecessary if you really want to help those newbies.

Why you cant appreciate his help? We are glad that there is someone who is willing to give merits for quality post and not  you who  discourage him to not to open this thread. He is making a move to help the community. how about you?

As a meaningful writer I have worked on bitcoin platform for long with about 220 post I was not given any accolades by merit, it is sadden to hear of the development, for real bitcointalk  user who have done  much and were pull down it will hurt, but gradually I believe if the team well crosscheck on real users then merit will surely reach us together with the quality posts.

You say that I "plagiarism" and actually I'm trying to learn the knowledge of the cryptographic market. The things I share may be that I draw from the knowledge I have learned and also from all the experiences of others. Are you accusing me?
Yeah, you basically copy/pasted what someone else wrote but changed a couple words so you wouldn't get caught.  Not only did I accuse you of this, I showed what you did.  Hopefully you'll be permabanned.

I'm trying hard to learn more from everyone. Hope you will help me.
The following looks like plagiarism to me:

In many cases, we see people distributing fake e- mails for example to participate in a particular cryptocurrency ICO. This mainly happens on Telegram, but Slack may have the same problem. Never trust the address of your Ethereal wallet for you by strangers on the internet. Do not ask and trust this address, as you only get scam by doing so. Only use the address on the ICO website that you participate in.

In many cases, we see people distributing fake Ethereum wallet addresses to participate in a pre-ICO algorithm. This mainly happens on Telegram, but Slack can also have similar problems. Never trust the address of an Ethereal wallet sent by someone you do not know on the internet. Do not ask for these addresses, because all you have to do is just a big donkey. Use the information provided formally and the address displayed on the legitimate ICO website.

Edit:  And just FYI, I did report this as plagiarism.

Lol why are you like this ? He clearly is helping other newbies out there and he is willing to reward them with merits yet you criticize him with your bullshts. Shame.

He can find newbie quality articles in one place and distribute the merits to them. that's the best way. Why did he make them post statistics and turn it into a contest? I think he wants more people to see his work than he wants to help others. Although I'm a newcomer, I do not need that fake merit. ok

Man what are you saying here? what Contest? What work? What fake merit? it's clear you don't understand so please stop this nonsense and try bring value to the forum instead.

To anyone that wants me to move this thread, like other users said, i opened this 24 hours thread because after the changes to the merit system the board is full with the same complaints and threads, and i think that this thread can help to limit them.
I honestly don't know what the appropriate section is, someone says off topic, someone services (what services am i offering btw?  Grin).
I will wait for a moderator, that for sure will move the thread in the appropriate section if needed. But like i said, this thread will be closed in 24 hours.

I am surprise that a lot of people are criticizing you for wanting to give out merits for quality post using this model, I actually think it's a very good idea that others should follow. We have heard of and seen many cases where quality posts were never rewarded because those saddled with the responsibility of rewarding valuable posts never got to read such posts, so employing this method to address such issues should be a welcome development.

Not everybody has the time to search the forum for high quality posts to merit. I think making threads like this is worthwhile as it allows those who have less time on their hands to contribute to merit flow, even if it is the lazy way of doing it. I think it does belong in the merit section as this is where 99% of the spammers and remoted users are going to come complaining about the demotion.
It is true even some of our merit sources are tired searching in the forum to find a worthy forum members with good post that deserve a merit and due to the forum changes made by theymos most new newbies (demoted jr. members) will be in meta complaining about it. By the way, do you mean META SECTION instead of merit section, I sometimes mistyped it too.

If you want to share your remaining sMerits, why don't you just go and look for good posts out there, making a thread about it is unnecessary if you really want to help those newbies.

Anyway, I believed this thread/topic doesn't belong here. Please move it to "Off-topic" by using the "Move topic" button at the lower corner of the thread.

Are you really wanting to help a newbie or are you playing a hypocrite to earn merit from your post? I see doubts about this

You can see in my signature the amount of effort i put in order to receive my 4 merits  Grin I don't expect any merit from writing 3 lines.
But seriously, I woke up today and felt awful being a Newbie again and i know for sure there are other people like me, that tried so hard to get merit and didn't succeed.
