Governments will always find a way for you to pay taxes. The blockchain is such a disruptive technology that they can't regulate. Therefore they will want taxes wherever they can get.

If you know anything about money than you know that owning euros, dollars, etc. is to own a debt, Whilst owning crypto currency is not a debt but an asset. The fact that the government is not involved in this ownership of crypto coins frightens them.

I suspect that if we hold long enough there will be a way to pay straight up with cryptos rather than banking in fiat and paying ridiculous amounts of taxes. I'm talking about open markets like BitBay integrating together with an anon coin like DeepOnion, which not only hides the users' transactions, but also the users themself. These technolgies could provide a way for us crypto investors to maintain the freedom that we used to have before regulation came into play.

Are you going to pay taxes on your Bitcoin profits?

Suppose you make a million dollars. Suppose you have already made a million dollars. Are you going to hand half of that cash over to the government? Of course, this is assuming you convert your coins into federally recognized cash. If your only intention is to amass a huge supply of Bitcoins, the question does not apply to you.

You're supposed to pay income taxes. It seems rather easy to get away with not doing it, though... at least in this case.

If I convert any to dollars sure.  In the US any profit over $200 for the year is federally taxable I believe.  Of course profit is how much you sold the coins for minus the price you bought them for.
thanks for your information . That would be a useful information for me

No I'm not.

Here in Switzerland there are no taxes on capital gains.   Grin

Can I go there? As in right at this moment?   Shocked Well I guess since I'm not in Switzerland, I'm going to pay taxes. Who knows how many people I might help with the taxes that I paid.

It is online business that you can do different things to earn money from it. There is an investment that earn money so why you pay taxes for you investment. Thats to rude.

If government is giving me the facilities and protection as any person need in his country in my income tax I'll surly be paying the tax. And even if I don't get facilities I'll still be paying for the development of the country...

As much as I don't want to because I fear that because of bitcoin's high value the value of tax will be high as well, however, when the government decides for it to be taxable then I guess we all have no choice but to follow this new rule when it comes to having bitcoin. I just hope that this will be for the better.

Don't worry about paying taxes on your profits from Bitcoin. There are thousands of legal loopholes, using which you can escape from paying tax. For example, if your stash is worth a few millions of USD, you can purchase the citizenship of Dominica (for a price tag of $100,000). You can sell your coins in Dominica (without paying any tax) and then come back to your hometown with the fiat cash.

Yes this is right no need to worried about paying taxes bitcoin is decentralized even if your government going to taxes your profit in cryptocurrency its take a long long time to trance how much is your income but of course all of us dont want to pay taxes hehehe.

If it is necessary I would just abide the given law just so they won't ban bitcoin here in our country. Taxes will still be subdivided for the needs of the country and I would be very proud to contribute my earnings. On the other hand, I wish that they will ask for a justifiable tax for I am doing all the hardwork just to earn money through bitcoin. I believe that it is still their right to ask for it but the government must make is more reasonable and justifiable.

NO I'm not going to pay taxes on my profit to my bitcoin. Because it is not written on the tax code that earning in bitcoins are taxable. If the government have a new rules and regulations about bitcoins then we should pay taxes for it.

I agree, I am sure no one will go to the tax office and say I want to pay taxes on this Smiley take my money!

Lol. That one of the best part of working with bitcoins. You have a choice whether you add money to greedy politicians' pockets or not. I mean, let's face it, not all taxes we're paying go to the right places. I wouldn't mind going to the tax office and pay my taxes if i'm sure it's being used to better the society i'm living in.

Why would anyone choose to give up half of his money? In most countries you're supposed to pay taxes equal to 15-25% of your income. If I were being forced to share 50:50 with my country I'd give up citizenship and move out ASAP, since there are countries that take only 10% or less. Why would I want to live in a country that's treating me like a slave?

Yes. You have to pay taxes as required by government laws. And if your income was taxable you have to pay the tax and definitely will go to the corrupt government officials!

Taxes are not a game or a toy. If I calculate taxes including my BTC it would get very bad for me. I don't want the tax inspectors coming after me and suing me so I will report taxes when I cash BTC. In some countries, it can be avoided but I don't think I can avoid it in my country.
