That is true, but we can't say that halving is not big event, it will be block halving, but it depend on us how we use it and how we get make a profit from halving, we should use our planning.
Finally, Bitcoin is not depend on Halving, actually Halving is depending on Bitcoins. when halving will be finished, bitcoin will remain and always remain in future. so use it in the different investment and make the profit.

For what exactly, if the price goes up significantly most people will sell a portion of their bitcoin's but to sell all of them would be stupid imo.

Very rightly said, everyone has certain price limit in their minds, if it crosses it then you should sell your coins as you never know price might fall to extreme level very next day.

I am afraid that this reveals another issue: there is not much to talk on the development side, there is no agreement on the block size (just the endless talks) and all the public has is the hope that the halving will be huge. It won't, as it is all thin air, with no real fundamentals to attract the new money.

I`m sure if it comes down to it, the VC`s who run over million dollars in investment into bitcoin ventures and the ones who create the community will find people to do it.

If it really came down to it, since no one would want to see this fail over developers endless talks with increase of 1mb.

... and agreement the second. Unfortunately, these were not binding, so didn't amount to a hill of beans Sad

well maybe if you did not think about halving, it probably would have happened without you feel. it is better to seek profit rather than waiting for halving, might profits get bigger than the advantages of waiting halving

Many people are waiting for the halving and that is because they see that the value is rising slowly and that is perfect for the people who already have Bitcoin and that is nice.
But there are also people that is saying that the halving will not even come and that is bad and that it will keeps stable.

The block halving may very well be nearly calculated in the current price and yet people are dreaming about unrealistic prices to happen this year. I don't see much upwards potential from $550 to be honest.
