Aricoin with a capital 'A' refers to the currency as a whole.
aricoin with a small 'a' refers to units of currency (aricoin can be used as both singular and plural).

However, some users shorten 'aricoin' to 'ari' in speech when referring to the sending/receiving of funds, for example:

• Can be pronounced  "Send a payment of fifty thousand ari to [email protected]"

Full note about previous exchanges Early adopters of Aricoin know our system was designed to be linked to an exchange (it's how AricoinPay functions) - it appears we've had string of bad luck in selecting good exchanges. After launch, we were a leading coin on MintPal throughout 2014 until it was hacked and closed, then Cryptsy in 2015-2016 until the same thing happened, and most recently to our next primary exchange,  Cryptopia. Aricoin is mentioned in the court documents of all these cases and we really feel for any users who have suffered losses supporting Aricoin due to negligence by third party exchanges.Having trading millions of dollars worth of Aricoin on each of these exchanges - we are actively looking for a replacement exchange for the long run.
