To all those people getting Invalid passwords etc. make sure in ypool you have selected at the top "Current coin mode" and you are in MAX coin mode. Then when you go into MAX coin you should have a worker with name of .max_1.
Ie, check this info under howto > maxcoin (http://www.ypool.com/howto?ct=6)

Important: Make sure you have selected the correct coin in the box 'Current coin mode' on the top of the screen. Each coin has it's own workers. The default worker for MaxCoin is called.max_1

YPool has been under a DDoS attack. It isn't connecting. All you can do is let it sit there, and it will eventually connect
