I think the users who downloaded those Zingga poker apps are either trying to learn poker or just gambling fake money to satisfy the urge to gamble. Once they have the funds, they will try to gamble. There use to be facebook app which anyone can develop their own app back in 2007 and I found a lot of m friends are actually playing gambling app because they share the cards they hold.

1.6B people are probably just bored though. Not all of them gambles real money. Poker is already a game and they are adding GameFi to incentivize players. Giving money back?

It has been tried a million times already. I said the same thing to my friend as well and said that the best way to do it would be DeFi method where you allow people to own it. But then marketing becomes a problem since there isn't really one owner who will decide all of that. Think about it this way, you create a casino, and 50% of it is owned by the public, and whatever the house wins, goes to the bankroll, which is governance ownership hence if people want to cash that out, they will do that all together, if they do not want to, it will grow bigger and bigger.

The other half is owned by the creator team, and they use that income to do marketing, I would highly doubt it would make sense, since that's centralized casino just like any other, just 50% centralized instead of fully. Would you really want to spend money on that? Well it has been tested, and people preferred not to do that at all.

First of all, at least make an original post if you're actually interested in creating a topic concerning the article in question (and you are curious about said article). Secondly, Gamefi for gambling? That seems very redundant. Casinos already have incentives to find new people who become interested in their games and keeping old gamblers on their platform.

The main reason it seems unnecessary to me is because gambling itself is not really something you need to incentivize with a play-to-earn system as its quite good at marketing itself to the right crowd as is.
