Yes, good exchanges usually do this and they have list of requirements that the NEW coin have to comply.
But as the OP said, some exchanges are not good and they can also may connections with the new coins and scam investors later on.
IEO doesn't guaranteed a good coin at all, it can still be a scam but I agree that its way better compare to ICO.

The exchanges conducting the IEO are themselves fraudsters. They force you to buy their tokens at a high price, and you must also keep them for a long time, in order to have a couple of percent chance of being among the investors. This is not for me and I consider it a deception of ordinary people.

The worst thing in this whole IEO story is that it is impossible to buy coins from the token sale. They are flying away within seconds, I have tried to take part in 5 IEOs and after I passed captcha, 7 million dollars were sold out.

Of course before each investment you need to look at what you have invested , I think you need to check the stock exchange , but now a very big hype and have time to participate is almost impossible , I think you need to participate in the ieo as you can make good money

As long as these new tokens are launching in a reputable and trusted exchange, investors need not to worry to much, these trusted exchange has their own system to weed out these fake token that will use their platform, an exchange will have to prove first, they are trustworthy enough to hold an IEO.

Some IEOs are getting sold out very fast, which is very good and a sign of trust in crypto. This shows that a number of persons are still willing to invest in an initial offerings, but they are just scared of being scammed. I followed up an IEO which was able to raise some amount of fund. The IEO was sold at $0.03, the team is yet to open trading, already, the token is been traded in a black market in FolkDelta and trading at a very ridiculous price, I advise the team on what to do to save the price, but they are paying a deaf ear. I hope they know what they are doing, and I hope it doesn't end as a scam. One must be careful the exchange they buy IEO from.

Well you make some sense in your statement we need to investigate any investment we are going into weather ico,sto or ieo because there are risks in them no matter where it was offered

You have point but what can keep you safe to some extent is taking part in IEO launch on reputable exchange like binance, bittrex, okex because they will want to protect their name and reputation.

Already IEOs will not receive great interest in small exchanges. Most exchanges already started IEO thinking that would make great profit with it. Lets wait little longer, already small ones will not be able to make any profit.

I think scammer are already there! I have been following every IEO in these months and was shocked by seeing how many ICO projects turned into IEOs! So, many of them were bullshit in ICO place and now they are coming into IEOs to ruin its popularity and acceptance! Only noob and greedy people will go for those IEO projects. Smart investors always stick themselves in Binance, Bittrex, Huoi, and other big platforms.

We haven't began to see scam projects in the IEO space because it is relatively new, but I think it's a good thing that we are already beginning to enlighten users about scam IEO projects that might rise up in the future, how to know them and also how to avoid them, this information might not be so important now but I can assure us that in few months to come we might need to come back to this information to know how to know this scam platform.

Yes, this is the new trend now, almost all major exchanges are planning to have IEO already.

Of course, not because it is run by an exchange it will mean that it will be successful. There could be failures along the way so we also need to investigate and DYOR as a IEO investor.

the IEO are the evolution of the ICO, they are safer and have more protection for investors, because they are backed by an exchange (exchange of reputation) .... the exchange will not put any scam, because it would damage their reputation as a platform , they have to go through an exhaustive investigation and analysis of the project carried out by experts! ... anyway, it is always good to do our own research!

for sure all investors will research first before he invests, even though the IEO is held in large markets does not rule out the possibility of fraud, I think investors are not stupid, just buy tokens from the IEO without doing research first

It is another scam game! Majority of the exchanges are copying Binance looking at their success without any actual background verification. The way ICO has lost the credibility, IEO will soon fall into the same place! The major problem with IEO is that, we are putting our trust on the reputation of the exchange and not with the token company which I believe is a big gap!

Every exchange should start making their due diligence process public so that the credibility can be kept intact. I was reading some articles saying that ICO activity is down by more than 90% compared to the last year. While Binance stepped into this turmoil, the picked the chord right! Now the same step is followed by the other exchanges is again going back to the beginning.

DYOR - Do your own research is the mantra of survival here!

I do not agree with you. IEO is a new cryptocurrency sales format that is safer for investors. The exchange is responsible for its security. As we know, many exchanges invest a lot in their security so you have nothing to worry about.
