What people want, drop bitcoin and increase altcoin. We want all of us is to increase the bitcoin value like now, and if the bitcoin price increases then the altcoin value will drop down so this is the time to choose your trusted altcoin and buy. and those holding of the same coin, do not be impatient and don't lose hope because the increase of its value is longterm.
While bitcoin is growing - altcoins will become cheaper, this is understandable, because most of them are traded in pairs to bitcoin. Also, many people go out of the aloin ooze to buy bitcoin. But when the hardcore passes, all people will start buying out the altcoy again and the price for them will start to grow.
You are so much true in this regard. Well, bitcoins and altcoins are paired and you know better when one is going up, the other one just go down. So we can call them reciprocal of one another. Like now, bitcoins are expensive and enjoying the market while altcoins are just seeing that booze and no one is willing to buy them. But don’t worry, prices will get back very soon.

There is no simple rule for this, it is always good to look at the background. But for the future, I think that BTC dominance will go back below 50%.
When bitcoin price increases, altcoin price will go down and when that scenario continues, altcoins will continue to price down. If altcoins are still pricing down, the investors of altcoins will lose trust or hope on investing that kind of cryptocurrency. If that scenario continues, that coin will have no value.

These are simply speculations, not statements about the real case with coins on the market. I remember when in May btc was growing and so did most of altcoins, so people kept saying that btc always pulls altcoins together with it. Now the situation is mainly different and you say that it's vice versa. There are no strict correlation at all. Now btc is a bit down and alts are up, for example, but it doesn't mean we can predict what would happen tomorrow if btc keeps going down, for example. 
As a newbie who has been in the crypto universe, I have witnessed 2 things. Bitcoin price surges, alts follow with bitcoin and make all time highs. Second scenario which we are seeing now is, bitcoin make new ath, alts take a blood bath.

Last 50 days has been so hectic for crytpo currencies . Continuous forks, Negative statements, bans on ICOs, shutting down exchanges etc... it's alot to take in and the prices of Alts have declined way too much in the couple of days. Bitcoin on the other hand have increased massively and created ATH which had made another impact on Alts prices. Now since the fork is done and I hope the BTC price will be corrected and we might see an increase in Alts prices. But if the BTC price continues to increase then people will start losing hope on Alts and it might be a crisis for the Alts.
As bitcoin becomes more popular and higher in price more people are going to be interested in alt coin investments just in case they follow Bitcoin in price.
With the the ever increasing price of Bitcoins, I believe it is dwarfing the market cap of all other coins (altcoins). If this trend continues would people invest in altcoins? What are your thoughts?

In my experience here to earn bitcoin, ico is one of the resources for you to get bitcoin profit, then Trading. These two are the major factors for us to have bitcoin earnings. Beside there still legit ico where you invest in it as long as you know it is really potentials and legit.

Hard fork was already over and your prediction gave an opposite result. Most the altcoin inflates price and cryptocurrency market cap increased. Thanks to BTG hard fork FUD, Altcoint market alive again and back to bullish trend, I hope that most of the altcoin will recover their original price sooon.

Alt coins will drop very good time to buy some coins you’re interested in or even look into some new projects
Its all about speculation and movement in market trend as china banned ICO and citcoin regulation bitcoin price reached around 3000$ then it raised to 6000$ once 2 fork announced . Soon altcoins will take its place once people claim btg and b2x. Cryptocurrencies are here to stay .
Bitcoin rises with the help of Altcoins itself. In my own view, it Bitcoin's isn't that impressive then nobody wants to create another blockchain community.
