I called them out on twitter and they deleted their post with the discrepancy in their bad photoshop work.

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.

I really like this manufacturer, I mean this must be the most perfect thing ever.

I think that might be irony, maybe trying to point out the absurdity of the Asgard claims whilst not getting self modded.
But just my opinion...

Yes.

I edited my post, so that it would be more clear. Well, it is no surprise that they deleted my post soon after that.

They are full of shit and can't be trusted.

I would very much like to understand NotFuzzyWarm's position regarding his endorsement of this ASGARD scheme, but he neither responds to pm's or subsequent posts.
That was NOT an endorsement -- more of a 'how curious with no immediate flags thrown'. As their subsequent actions and further evidence came to light, post deleted.

And being at work - working - yes the 1 quick question at the time was about it needing AB pools. More in-depth questions would have come later had this drawn out longer.

At least my post got others rapidly involved forcing ASGARD to show their true colors.

fwiw, while I was browsing Asgard website yesterday, 'Stefan' initiated JivoChat with me.

Aaah "Stefan", Head of PR Department.
Good looking young man from his picture.
Unfortunately they removed it as well as "Josef Head of Sales" photograph. Maybe they read my post about him not really being "Josef Head of Sales" but a chap from Odessa called Roman, on the Valet.ru. site, before they deleted it.
But actually, they didn't quite delete "Stefan", 'cos if you look closely at the Jivo window there's a thumbnail of him, which searches back to... Valet.ru.

This guy thinks they are legitimate:

fwiw, while I was browsing Asgard website yesterday, 'Stefan' initiated JivoChat with me.  I asked a few questions:

where do the product ship from (country)?
We produce components in China, and the final assembly is made in Sweden
 (doesn't answer the question)

I presume they need 240V AC power ?
power supply is built-in
yes, but I need to plug into 240V AC power source ?
Our miners work from 220 v
if you have 240 v, then indicate this in the order and we will add the adapter from 240 v to 220 v in the kit
(very odd.  I've never heard of a power supply design that couldn't handle a less than 10% input voltage difference)

are there any Youtube video or Bitcointalk reviews?
we plan to upload the video in the coming days, and from the reviews on the sites so far refused (the average cost of one review is 3-5 thousand), as long as the demand for our miners is good and without paying reviews)
(sounds similar to DwarfMiner FPGA excuse)

I don't see any physical address (street address) for Asgard Mining?
our office is at Sthlm Business Center Johan Skyttes Väg 200 125 34 Älvsjö
In Stockholm

most importantly, do not delay, we receive new orders every day
 (the classic salesman's pitch)

I would like to believe, but break-even time still seems to be a year out (with my costs) so I'll pass on this deal.

Edited 2020-11-29 to fix a broken image

Is exactly like this one:

https://2bitcoins.ru/majner-za-million-rublej-ibelink-dm11g/

Note that this pic is not available on ibelink website so someone seems to have gone to the trouble of actually acquiring and disassembling the ibelink miner to take pictures.

Other pictures (miner exterior) also seem to be very similar to the ibelink miner, except green LEDs and a different name has been photoshopped onto it.

Will be amusing. They'll get their arses ripped if they delete my post ^_^.

Hahaha, I see -ck has posted in the self mod thread

Aside from being a company no one has heard of before I do not get any red flags yet
Except that their efficiency claims are so much better than the current leading edge of technology as to be highly improbable.

Will they delete a moderator's post, one merited by the other mod?  Cheesy
Whatever happens with this particular scam, I would hope it will be a watershed for depriving newbies of self moderation in the future.

Verified Bernie Bro - Feel The Bern!
I can't see in the seclog a pw or email change on the NFW account, anyone see one?

These things concern me about the NFW account currently:
editing the post seemingly furthering the endorsment after tmfp PM'd a warning to him
lack of technical discussion or questions in that thread
basically endorsing this thing blindly

To be honest hes a hardened vet of the mining sub and has seen all the scams recently and been against them pretty strongly, so ya this gives the appearance of being very out of character!

It's getting a bit messy (in more ways than one) here, because of the slight red herring regarding the Cloudflare software being triggered.
I don't believe that the ASGARD people have or could have the ability to prevent posts or "block",
Well it is very well possible they are intimately familiar with CF default "rules" (I would presume the rule in question is a default setting that theymos never changed until just now), and created a post they knew others could not reply to (and presumed that most people would give up on trying to post warning others after receiving the block).

If the above is true, they could have been familiar with CF so that they were able to create a post themselves that circumvented the block (and possibly later edited the posts), or they have some exemption to the rules.

If it is the later, then whoever is currently behind NotFuzzyWarm may be an alt of someone else in a particularly high ranking. theymos was able to quote the post while others were not, and he said that his account and IP address are not specifically whitelisted or otherwise different in the eyes of CF (to his doing). He also speculated CF allowed him to make that post because of some kind of cookie tracking or reputation system implemented by CF. If theymos is correct in his speculation, someone may have been able to use this cookie and/or CF reputation to make a post that others could not respond to.

I don't believe that the ASGARD people have or could have the ability to prevent posts or "block", although they have the ability to delete  and exercise it non stop.
Here's a cross post from Meta to bring that up to date.
I would very much like to understand NotFuzzyWarm's position regarding his endorsement of this ASGARD scheme, but he neither responds to pm's or subsequent posts.

I guess my next question would be, why is NotFuzzyWarm able to post that in the thread? There are a number of red flags with what the OP of the thread is selling, NotFuzzyWarm is giving what is close to an endorsement and those trying to point out red flags are having their posts almost immidiately deleted.

This is correct. I've pm'd him twice to aware him of the red flags but he hasn't responded. I have started a scam accusation thread regarding ASGARD.
Bizarrely, NFW's original post (two versions ago) read

For a start - wrong area folks! That is hardware - not software... Requested the mods to move this to Mining Speculation for now.

So far gotta say this looks promising.

Went to their site and in Chat asked the all-important question: Can these run on any sha256D pool or is asicboost support required. Answer is they run on ANY sha256d pool. Damn fine start.

Seriously thinking about ordering one to try out/review.

I pm'd him to tell him that the identity mismatch I had noticed and posted about had been self modded.
Very shortly after that he edited the post to include the bolded

That really confused me. Even if he didn't rate the evidence of stolen photos (since deleted) how could it make him even more supportive??

The third edit is the addition of the back pedal phrase

edit: This may change of course as more info comes out.

He still has not acknowledged my pm's.
Strange.

I see a couple of red flags. One being that the PSU is inside the miner itself, like you see in a personal computer, but not most miners. The second would be the strange social media presence. The third would be the lack of mention of any chip sizes/specs.

I could go on....

I am going to go out on a limb and say that NotFuzzyWarm is a purchased and/or hacked account for the purpose of furthering this likely scam.

105 sales so far (106 including the E Bay one) claimed. Apart from the E Bay bargain, all 105 presumably bought thru their "online store".
So naturally, when you go to checkout, they provide their address

in the next few days we will lay out a detailed video review of our miners. I am sure that after it all your doubts will be divorced.

So, who's posting this?
Josef, or Roman?
