Thanks for the help. I am sure I will be spending more time on here as it gets closer to delivery time. Hopefully no more delays.

well i see this didnt get a good answer

yes its that simple the software comes with it and all you do is plug the ASIC into your computer it installs then all you have to do is run the software think its called easy miner type in your pool and click start and bam your mining at close to 5gh/s

id even go as far as saying its n00b proof

you have to alter the commands with cmd line miners.

i suggest guiminer. it shows you all of the options clearly instead of having to learn all of the commands for a cmd line miner.

Seriously though, is it that simple?

I have ufasoft running at the moment CPU mining but I have no idea how to connect this to a pool. There doesn't seem to be any configuration to do. It just says mining at 20Mhash/s.

Since I can't post in the correct section, I will ask here.

If I get hold of a BFL 5 gh/s ASIC box, how exactly do I get started mining?

Do I register with a pool, enter those details in software provided with the ASIC box and away it goes? They claim to be plug and play but I want to be sure.

Thanks
