oh cmon.. the guy said 2 words, not proving anything and everybody fall for it.
wtf spondodude has any knowledge of AM's businesses.
wtf does he has to comment on it.
wtf doesnt he have better things to do.
sounds more desperate than professional. Roll Eyes

edit: does FC comment on their overpriced pre-ordered hardware that wont ROI and their thread being over self-moderated about it? No.

You need to chill. Receiving no dividends surely heats up people and this thread, but Guy has no reason and no gain from lying about that, but it seems that he has a bit more information than what you as shareholders have.

FC is is going to suck the market dry of capital and invest it all in gen4

WINSTARS - We are changing the face of gambling
I'd like to add a question on the most recent posts that Spoon brought up.

Is Asicminer selling chips at cost already? Rumors have been going around that it is known in China that the chips are being sold at cost. Can we please have a confirm/deny on these rumors? The last post mentioned that average sales cost is about .5$/gh, is this still the average?

We appreciate everything you do Friedcat.

Next round of shareholders questions July 2014 - gathering

Dear shareholders,

we've gathered 8 questions so far, still 6days until forwarding them to Friedcat. If you want to add something, don't hesitate to write it here, or in PM. Closing time for this round of questions is 1st of July 2014 12:00 UTC +01:00

Quote
1) Could you please provide an estimate on when the first dividend can be expected now? What is the estimated time of ASICminer to become cash-flow positive ?

2) What is the exact status of self-mining and franchising ?

3) How many PH/s of gen 3 have already been sold/shipped by now ?

4) Has the "60 PH/s batch" progressed any further? When is it supposed to be completely done? How much has already been sold ?

5) Given the ratio of 1/3 retained and 2/3 paid out of the revenue, is this after deducting costs for upcoming batches/expenses or are those part of the 1/3 of retained capital ?

6) AM sells chips to multiple mining companies including Rockminer, Datatank, Bitgarden, is it possible to get some clarity on the relationships AM has with different groups possibly not including the above ?

7) Could you give us a very rough estimate on when gen 4 can be expected. e.g. is tape-out still expected this year? Q1/2/3/4 next year?

8 ) Personal question from shareholder freedomno1 : Hi friedcat I have been receiving several requests for replacement baseboards/ power boards and parts for the block erupter cube and was wondering if their is a repair service or parts store available that I can relay to those individuals to contact with if something breaks.

Try not to have two or more questions baked into one. This practice begs for misunderstanding and/or incomplete/unsatisfactory answers. If we want clear answers we need to be very clear with our questions. I suggest we separate them into distinct lines so that each one must be answered in a standalone fashion:

1) Could you please provide an estimate on:
- When the next dividend can be expected ?
- When ASICminer will become cash-flow positive ?

2) Regarding self-mining and franchising:
- What is the current status of self mining and franchising ?
- What partners will be working with ASICminer ?
- What do the respective partnership agreements entail ?
- How many PH (including percentages from franchising) will -directly- contribute to ASICminer mining income ?

3) How many PH's of Gen 3 have already been sold/shipped by now ?

4) Regarding the "60 PH/s batch":
- Has this progressed any further ? (duh, of course it has, it's been a month. what, exactly, is it that we want to find out about this?)
- When is it supposed to be completely done ? (what are we really asking here? when is manufacturing due to be complete? or when will it be completely sold/deployed?)
- How much of it has already been sold ?

5) Given the ratio of 1/3 retained and 2/3 paid out of the revenue, is this after deducting costs for upcoming batches/expenses or are those part of the 1/3 of retained capital ?

6) AM sells chips to multiple mining companies including Rockminer, Datatank, Bitgarden, is it possible to get some clarity on the relationships AM has with different groups not including the ones above ?

7) Regarding Gen 4, can you give us rough (plus/minus a month or two) estimates on:
- When tape-out is expected ?
- When production is expected ?
- When the first chips will be in hand ?

8 ) Personal question from shareholder freedomno1 : Hi friedcat I have been receiving several requests for replacement baseboards/ power boards and parts for the block erupter cube and was wondering if their is a repair service or parts store available that I can relay to those individuals to contact with if something breaks.

Also, I would like to note that a lot of these questions are extremely business-sensitive, and if I was in FC's shoes I would definitely not answer them in a public forum.

AM Gen3 is selling at their own wafer cost. 40 PH/s of A1s
What are A1s? And how would anyone but asicminer know what the wafer cost is and that he is selling them for that amount?
Yes it has to be bullshit. Thank god fc doesn't need to resort to lies and cheap gossip.

That confused me too though. What motive does spondoolies have to lie about something like that?

I don't think they have any reason to lie about it, that is why I was taking what they said at face value. It's even worse to see that another company has unleashed 40PH into the wild, but its good to know about this at least. Seems like a storm is brewing in the mist. This Summer/Fall is going to be crazy. Too much stuff in multiple areas of BTC are converging it would seem.

I actually believe, what Spondoolies are claiming. I don't believe, they need to lie. Still, I'm shocked that we're already selling at $0.2/GH/s. I wonder why that's not reflected on Havelock, yet. This are, indeed, very stormy times it seems.
I guess it'd be foolish not do address those things in the questions...

I like question 6, but I would like to put special emphasis on Datatank, especially regarding the recent rumor that Datatank might become a franchising partner of AM.

DataTank doesn't want to disclose any further information about that deal until the deal is actually done. I guess we'll get more info about DataTank cooperation when they will be comfortable/ready to provide some.

Ok, good point.

Massive trade on Havelock with 256 shares:

2014-06-24
18:09:40
256
฿0.19500000
฿49.9200

And yet the price barely budged?  I don't get it...

It was a coordinated transaction between two parties.

Regarding the "40 PH/s of A1s" — either that isn't referring to AM or Spon is confused. AM doesn't have an A1 chip (bitmine does).

Just an FYI: I own a small amount of shares in AM, have not and at the moment have no serious plans to purchase a SP10/30/etc.. Just wanted this information to be present before any questions make it to FC and rather not be called a troll or a FUDmaker.

Here is Spon dropping a tidbit of information during his/her/their trip to China for some conference or another.

That said-re chinese market. Guy, care to elaborate-you understand their marketing or price trends or whether they will develop 20nm or jump straight to 16nm?
Off topic, me to blame. I don't see a Chinese player doing more advance node anytime soon.
They're concentrating on maximizing profit and reducing cost and prices, short term.
AM Gen3 is selling at their own wafer cost. 40 PH/s of A1s
Lot's of low cost farms are being deployed. Seen some pictures.
3 shifts, 24 hours a day producing miners.

Here is Spon elaborating on exactly what he was referencing.

I think he is referring to the deal between DataTank and AM which was just reached 2 days ago? That is not Selling so much as a barter or trade, if I understand the deal correctly.

No. I'm referring to selling AM Gen3 ASICs to Chinese manufacturers in bulk.

You have word from legitimate sources that AM is selling their Gen3 ASICs to Chinese manufacturers in bulk at wafer costs? That is unheard of, thank you.

I wonder if the board is aware of this then..

From my understanding, this is not a smart, nor profitable idea.

Now I understand that Spon has reason to lie, I have yet to see them act in a deceitful or untrustworthy manner.

EDIT: A little more elaboration

Two bulk customers.
