You could well be right, nobody knows for now.
I have always thought friedcat to be an honest person.
I still hold some hope he will appear and sort this mess out.
It is not unusual or out of character for long periods of silence from him.

I would rather remain optimistic for now.
Time will tell.

Sorry for the gif, but man are you optimistic or deluded?

In which Universe does FC remain honest given the current situation? At the very least he was committing utility fraud for AM's electricity bills.

Personally I hope that the funds do NOT go to amhash. Amhash was a private venture between rockminer/FC from what I understand. No way AM shareholders should pay for this.

I don't know how it is from the legal side, but the amhash topic clearly mentions ASICminer:
In this contract, the hashrate is provided by ASICMiner, the management is provided by
RockMiner, and the platform is provided by HavelockInvestments.

The thing is we bought shares in a company, we knew that it could fail, but amhash customers
bought "hashrate" so the only real risk for them should be if difficulty moves up or down...
I just don't want this to end as "just another bitcoin scam" - that is all :/

It doesn't matter that hashrate was provided by AM, the business agreement was still not signed by AM as a company only friedcat. Any funds available should in my opinion go towards wafers for a chance to resurrect AM or the company should be dissolved and funds distributed among shareholders.

Well I hope that is the case for you guys, but with the BE300 not even ordered AM is done. Good luck though...hate to see more people get screwed on mining/securities here.

If the hashing power was provided by AM.
And the management by RockMiner.

How do you know RockMiner was not the cause of the loss of equipment that they were managing for AM.
Because in that case, I dont see AM would be responsible.

It does not matter really who is responsible. AM is broke and so is RM...the ponzi has fallen apart and is over. No one is getting any GH or coins back.

They got no insurance (Which is pretty cheap),...

I doubt you will find an insurance company that will make an insurance for bitcoin miner. If you start to explain them that they are extremely valuable devices that will be valuable for 3 months only though then they will send you out of office fast. Its simply a real nice risk. So i think it was unavoidable that no insurance was there. Or was there an insurance for the big mining farm that burned down some weeks ago?

So far the overall understanding is that ASICMINER should carry some responsibility

The most funny part is that he says ASICMINER should carry SOME responsibility Grin Like responsibility for what?Cheesy For the event that asicminer stole our money?Cheesy Of course you have to take all responsibility for this, ALL Angry Can you elaborate why other parties are responsible also? The only thing I can imagine is that they trusted customers money to untrusted company like asicminer. Well if they are responsible in your eyes for that, then, well, u know, that's more than laughable Grin Or the police is responsible that they ''robbed'' the miners? Well, you might say some cat is responsible because he stole the money and not asicminer, but in AMHash thread it is clearly stated that ''In this contract, the hashrate is provided by ASICMiner, the management is provided by RockMiner, and the platform is provided by HavelockInvestments.'' It was false advertising in the first place if the hashrate was privided by a cat.

asiabtc is a thief and a liar, i would not pay any attention to what he says.

that said he states

1, friedcast lost contact from 2 month ago.
2, asicminer moved from their shenzhen office to some place in early of Feb.
3, other member of asicminer kept silence.

if i were AM i would also lose contact with this a hole, he has nothing to offer, why would AM stay in contact?

just see his old thread and all the unhappy ppl....

here is the ASICMINER empty office:

they moved out from Feb 12nd.

Lol idk about u but if i were there i woulda taken those chairs. We have 3 of those in the it office and when i looked up prices after seeing one in a sharper image window at the mall i found out those darn things cost an upwards of $1500 each if u get the lumbar inserts for ur back and add adjustable arm rests lol but they just left them behind i guess. Maybe they were cheap knockoffs?? Lol even fake ones are hundreds of bucks in the us depending on the quality but if they r real go take em before they get trashed or gifted to someone else lol.

Is FC dead?
Is FC incarcerated?
Is FC held hostage?
Is FC on the run?
Is FC on the lam?

I am so confused.

This is the question I also want an answer to.
Also why is there no funding suddenly anymore, did fc take all coins with him?

I also hope you guys will try everything to make the amhash customers whole,
that was one of the few cloudmining which wasn't considered a scam and now this.

There is this (very likely bitfountain) bitcoin address which had big movements
at beginning of march, I hope that is to secure funds to repay amhash customers...

P.S.: As a small holder since IPO I probably don't need to mention that I am super
disappointed to hear that BE300 was never mass ordered, because that was the main reason
I was still holding on.  Angry

Can someone TLDR what we DO know so far? Would be real helpful.

FC missing, shit's all fucked up, don't trust David, the end

Short and factual. I like it. Well at this point I'm gonna hold on to my 140-ish shares. Maybe they will have some historic value some day Smiley

I think that this point, no one really knows.  Everything is a guess at this point and facts are hard to come by.

TaT is out. and has been for a long time.

Yes, that's what the picture I just pasted says.  It also mentions that TaT has passed control of the underlying assets, along with his seat on AM board, to James Grant lightbox Anon known as Havelock.

Unless I'm not fully understanding Bitcoin passthroughs, one needs to control the securities one resells, or how does that work?

Well it likely means TAT sold his whole position to Havelock
Although I'm not sure according to the transfer and TAT message Havelock is a board member so I'm kind of curious why the Panaminian group hasn't said anything about it.

Because the Panamanian group is not a Panamanian group but a Canadian d00d.
