Yeah, when the time comes and Bitcoin starts becoming of no use, I'll remember especially its first times and the peak times of Bitcoin and be proud for seeing those times. It's hard to predict the time Bitcoin will be in a situation like that. Of course, I wouldn't like to see Bitcoin in such condition.

If Bitcoin goes bad in the future, I never regret knowing Bitcoin. Because I am grateful to be able to experience owning and using Bitcoin, I will never
forget how Bitcoin has made my economy better. After getting to know Bitcoin I also became more patient, because I am used to dealing with
volatile crypto markets. For now my best memory is when Bitcoin managed to rise above the $60k price, I'm really happy and it seems that a lot of
people were surprised by the achievement of Bitcoin. But I believe Bitcoin in the future will still be useful and still exist, therefore I never hesitate to
invest long term in Bitcoin

While this is great there are many differences between individuals, not all people have the same intelligence. Not everyone can pave the way for achieving their goals some achieve success and some later at risk that is why we have to learn first the great Nobel laureates and those who have thwarted success are not disappointed they correct the mistake and move forward. The goal of life must be right and the plan must proceed.

And you will have been part of it and be able to say "I did something great and it changed the world".
But most of us won't be people who are remembered and written about, like Satoshi, Craig Wright, etc.

Nor do I think we need to be, and as far as doing something remarkable with our lives, I like to think that I do small but remarkable things at my job that, if they don't exactly change millions of people's lives, at least help people on an individual level.  The way I see it, I could be doing much worse with my lot in life, and I was never looking for fame and fortune anyway so I'm not disappointed.

Paxmao, you're correct that people like you mentioned are rare.  You can aspire to be a Nobel Prize winner and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you set your expectations that high you're bound to be a more frustrated and angry person as time goes on.  Notice I didn't say that one shouldn't work toward such a goal, just that your expectations should be much lower (if you want to be happy, at least).

It is right for a person to have ideals, but one cannot force it. After all, everyone's IQ is different. Because of the difference above, God's mission to us is also different. As ourselves, enjoy every day of life and continuously improve our happiness index. As a Bitcoin holder, it is enough to organize to promote Bitcoin to more people and gain more knowledge through forums to help more people.

Most people in the world do not get the chance of doing anything remarkable in their lives. Many may do things that are significant for them, but usually, chances of doing something that will change humanity, its culture and its way of thinking are remote. People involved in the French Revolution, artists in the Renaissance, philosophers in ancient Athens, ... they did things that left the world changed.

Most of us have some bitcoin. A few have a lot of bitcoin. Just think that for any reason, in 5 years or 10 years, something happened that dropped bitcoin value or made the network unusable or whatever event or combination of events made it impossible to use it any longer. As far as I am concerned, I can say "I was there and, at least, it was something great and I was part of it". When bitcoin fades, the way people think about currency, self-governance,  trust in a system will have changed forever. And you will have been part of it and be able to say "I did something great and it changed the world".
Ya, Even if I don't get to do what I love, no freedom to choose, passion or boring job, I would probably continue to do that damn job if I didn't happen to know bitcoin/crypto  .  It is definitely a big day that in this life I will never forget!  Where I have everything - this space.  That's what it means

Why worry that it fades away? Long as people are working on it and the people are using it, bitcoin won't fade. Plus it's not something that we should worry about because the moment that it fades, most people in this forum are all probably dead or too old to even use their own bitcoins wisely. It's indeed great but we don't have to worry too much about it.

Enjoy what we currently have and think of those things when it already there to happened, why bothered but instead keep believing
that there are still lots to offer.

More on the fact that since there's still development and there are still lots of people who are starting to  engage, the benefits still
there to continue.
Everything will come to an end for all those things who created no value by now but for bitcoin, probably it will live longer because of its great value. And since people are now acknowledging and starting to embrace bitcoin, then it will never fade easily just like other innovations.

Its better to think its positive effects to the people so it will be better to enjoy it while it is still here. There are more rooms for bitcoin to grow and definitely, more developments to happen in the following months and years. So lets just enjoy and see where will it take us.

I agree, as long as people work on and for Bitcoin, it will be around! And I still think all this is just a beginning, when you think about it, Bitcoin and crypto are around for just a little over 10 years, and it's not like we conquered the world, there's still a lot of space for growing, a lot more people/companies who can/will get more involved...

It was a great ride until this moment, and I believe that ride is far from over! We have seen new heights, now a little step or two back (in terms of price), but sooner or later we will see a new rise and I am sure we will see new heights!
with the moment that happened at the beginning of this year, it makes us optimistic to look at the future. with the new bullrun and ath that happened yesterday, making more and more people adopt bitcoin, of course they are from various backgrounds, even big companies are starting to use bitcoin, even though it is practical as an investment tool, but at least this year's development is very meaningful
Cant deny but having these times could really give out that kind of morale boost that we are really on the right path on dealing up with this thing and thinking out way more even positive on future years to come.

Basing off on whats currently happening and just looking into the demand then you can say at least that it is really something that might last up on years to come or even more.

Yeah, the given experience is really something which cant really be forgotten basing off on how great this invention is made up by Satoshi which did really changed up the whole thing in terms of payment system.

I believe all of you are right but just understand the logic: "even if" it drops and fade always we would be happy to be involved. That is why I think we should be very grateful about what is going on right now currently and that is why we should be happy that we are involved and I do agree that we should not be worried about the situation right now, as long as it looks like this year we should be happy about it, and even after that I still think that we should be very happy about the current situation and not be upset if it drops like crazy.

I personally believe that we should be feeling thankful for being in participating in bitcoin when very rare people know about it. I am very happy for one and I can tell you that we should not be focusing on what bad could happen, because when we talk about all the bad stuff then eventually we spread it to the world.

Simply owning a currency or a financial asset has nothing to do with greatness or being great. Grin
Glorifying Bitcoin or the blockchain technology seems kinda wrong to me.At the end of the day, this is just a technology.Every technology just comes and goes. The telegraph was a big deal in the XIX century, but now we are using smartphones and computers.Bitcoin might be replaced by something better in the next 10,20 years. This might be some altcoin or it might be Bitcoin 2.0.The blockchain technology might also be replaced by a better technology. We shouldn't put a technology on a pedestal.

new innovations that can help us make transactions easier, which does not require complicated knowledge to understand, even if we want to send to other countries it does not require long procedures like in a bank. but right now it's like a struggle for bitcoin to be accepted and used according to its original function

Nothing do last forever but at least on what Bitcoin did really give out is truly remarkable and cant really be forgotten even though it would neither be replaced or not in the future but its impossible for the community to forget on where they had stepped their foot in and even though experience isnt great when you do lost money but the benefits in terms of payment system is do what matter most.

Yes, it is something great and did really make out a big change when it comes to payment system where totally opposes heavy centralization made by government

but honestly i wont be stressing out myself on thinking that this would be over because it might last forever imho.

The greatest thing to ever happen to me is knowing what crypto really means to a common man and long term investors. I have learned to be patient when it comes to decisions and I learnt that from holding Cryptocurrencies.
I have made some cool money from it and loose some but that all came with a great lesson that will hardly be repeated in the future.
I just love bitcoin and it's underlying technology and lastly the meme coins, they are fun to watch.  Tongue

I agree with OP, I do not agree that bitcoin may end one day I am sure that it will go on for as long as I am alive (may end after few centuries of course) because it is open to innovation so if there is a new innovation in the world blockchain tech could adopt to that and crypto will evolve with the world.

However just to assume that bitcoin and all other cryptos are suddenly zero 20 years later, it grew smaller and smaller and became worthless, I would still be happy that I was here, it literally changed my life I can't explain how much I am proud to be here and making money here and living here because it allowed me to live the life I always wanted. Many friends are telling me how "easy" my job is not only because how much I make or don't make but because how I am doing whatever I want and that is something not many people can find in their lives.

You are forgetting about something: mindsets, psychology, philosophy and culture. Even if the "experiment" that is bitcoin fails in economic terms, you have made millions of people more conscious of how money works, what is happening with their fiat reserves and how is actually possible to free yourself from being played with.

Another historic example - many railways went bankrupt, yet we still have them and we still use railways as a means of transport. It was the first time people of moderate means could actually leave their surroundings at a cheap price and discover that there was something else in the world apart from their villages. That changed culture (people of modest means did not vacation before) and made people more free. That is my point, this changes everything regardless of the economic incentives.
That is the thing about crypto, there is no coming back from it. I do not care if quantum computing starts breaking up every single crypto apart and making them worth zero, it is not something that I would care, why? Because I know that people are aware that we need OUR money, and that is what will help us.

A regular citizen of USA doesn't have anything in common with the richest of USA, but they do have a lot of in common with the other Citizens of European countries for example, whereas European citizens have nothing in common with the elites of the European world, but they have with regular American, meanwhile USA and Europe elites and wealthy are practically the same thing.

So long story short we now that Dollar will not save me, no matter how much I have, euro won't, pound won't, ruble won't, yuan won't nothing will be saving me because those are government money and they only work to make the rich richer and powerful more powerful. So what we need is crypto in idea, it could be bitcoin it could be coinbit who cares what the name is, one day bitcoin may die but something else will come up because we now know that we need it.

If the time has come that Bitcoin have already faded away all of its traces, usage, importance and everything related to it, people that have experience fruitfulness at the time it have grown and became that very useful and popular will still be proud to say that they at least have experience the great fullness that Bitcoin and all cryptocurrency have provide to mankind and those will still be treasured into their memories for a long period of time. What the important thing to be done by this moment is to just enjoy and cherish every moment we have with Bitcoin before such time will come that it will turn out to be a strange thing in the future that have existed just in the past and will not be experience by the future generation.

I'll be honest, based on my surroundings I don't think Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies have been able to make that big an impact on the "payments system". Yes the level of adoption has increased, a lot of people know about bitcoin and invest in cryptocurrencies now and they have become a big market for hedgers, arbitrageurs, traders, and Investors but at the same time in the payment stream, except for EL Salvador there is nothing we can boast a lot about at this point of time. But yes the technology of blockchain is really something that has changed our lives forever.

Some people were destined to become an extra ordinary and remarkable even years has passed. But anyone can do something that will leave an impact to one individual's life and that would be enough.

Thinking about the future and what can happen to bitcoin after a decade doesnt give me worries, whats important to me is the current situation (since I dont know how long im going to live). Im fortunate to know bitcoin and enjoying the pros of engaging myself that some people cant see. Bitcoin is something great and im proud that I had the chance to become part of it.

Being part of this technological era is such a blessing; most of the information is at the tip of our hands.
Bitcoin is one of the most innovative when it comes to financing cause it gives us freedom.
If ever the time comes where Bitcoin no longer exists, the influence will stay forever.

its decentralized system really makes us realize that freedom is not a dream. no more complicated administrative requirements, it only takes minutes to send cryptocurrency anywhere in the world without limits. I am very happy to be a part of this evolution. it does require a long process, with various pros and cons, even if one day bitcoin or cryptocurrency does not develop as expected, at least I am happy and proud to have felt this convenience and innovation.
