Hi Peter, I think you didn't closely monitor the crypto market since this year.
Maybe have you notice that when the Bitcoin price goes up all altcoins prices are pumped too. I didn't know if there's an altcoin season but I think usually it depends on the Bitcoin price, all the market price movement depends on the Bitcoin price.

I think you already found the answer to your question. Altcoins pump altogether with Bitcoin or it might be there will be an altcoin season and nobody knows when it will be.

That's also my point. There's no need to identify what price of bitcoin will altseason start because its very obvious that when bitcoin is bullish, all existing potential altcoins will definitely be in the same situation too. And once bitcoin price drops, expect that there will be a massive price drop in the whole crypto market. This is the most common scenario that happens in the market but maybe this time might be different. So let's just wait and see. The market becomes too unpredictable when we least expect it.

No one can tell the actual level at which Bitcoin pulls up altcoins price but the good use case altcoin will certainly gain a new ATH price. However, there are certain mistakes some people make on this forum about altcoin season which always happens after the huge market correction and it is the season where the altcoin market experiences an increase in price while Bitcoin will be excluded.

Bitcoin dominance is your friend here. Observing carefully how Bitcoin dominance move is extremely good to spot when will the alt season.
Look at these days, Bitcoin is pumping too hard but most altcoins are not, that's the power of Bitcoin when pumping sometimes.
Another scenario to observe is when,
Bitcoin pump = alts pump (or Bitcoin pump = alts dump)
Bitcoin sideways = alts dump
Bitcoin dump = alts dump

Looks like you are a little late for the party. Meaningful altcoins such as Ethereum, BNB, Link, Polkadot etc already pump and even achieved all-time highs. During the period of DeFi hype is would have been the best period to prepare for altcoin season.

That's what happens every time so I won't be counting on it this time. My play is to just continue buying altcoins that gets dumped just because BTC was pumping. But isn't it the trend right now that once bitcoin will have its bull run, altcoins too at the same time will probably experience altcoins season too? After all, bitcoin always takes the lead and whatever positive reaction that bitcoin gets, altcoins too will be significantly affected.

For what I have seen in the market in the past, at the beginning of the bull run people begin to pull out the money they have invested in altcoins when bitcoin is going up in value, this increases its dominance and makes the price to go up even higher, but then a resistance point is reached and that is when we see the price becoming relatively stable, and in order to multiply their profits even further those investors that sold their altcoins for cheap begin to buy them again creating an altcoin season in the process, however it is impossible to know at which level this will happen, so it is better to watch the market and see when it does what I am describing.

I am feeling surely we are going to have new ATH for bitcoin in this month or surely in November because sentiments are very positive for this right now just because of this in next few days we can watch some good way in altcoins as well even no one can give perfect prediction about this bitcoin and altcoins but still as we have recent few months its good resistance above $50K now having good stay at $60K.

Altcoins mostly have good impact of bitcoin rise, but they will take sometime in near future we can say we will have very good rise in few altcoins which are already in good use case and having good and strong communities.

All random and there's no such thing about knowing about reversal of trend because it could happen in a short span of time without knowing it or been aware because not all the time when bitcoin tends to dump or

decrease its price then it doesnt mean that funds or liquidity would switch up to altcoin but it most likely to happen because it could really make out those kind of switch ups.

Just be aware on how market reacts and place up your position which you do seem worth to do so.

The altcoin season has actually happened if you're missing it. When bitcoin's price has skyrocketed, don't you see that many of the altcoins have pumped that skyrocket with bitcoin?

OP is asking about the trends from here on. Yes, sure, there have been alt pumps but sporadic ones not as before when the market was in full swing.
to be fair, I don't think we'll see the same level of pump as we did a few months ago but I still believe that alts will start popping as soon as BTC reaches a new record high. In my mind that record is in the region of the previous one aka $65,000

The alts have been quite slow despite bitcoin going back to $60k level. I also think that there will be some flash pump that will happen to the alts but not for all of them. It's just going to be a matter of time until we see that many of them will start to pump once again.
But as for the start of the altcoin season, it actually started already from the start of this year and it's not yet going to end soon. We'll all see that there's going to be the end of it once we get a hint from bitcoin.

it's too hard to tell mate, because somehow without knowing alts is making the same pattern with bitcoin in the market. and indeed in the last couple of months they're almost the same such top crypto, but it suddenly changed when bitcoin received a lot of positive news and showing a strong sign of uptrend so probably that's reason alts were left behind.. I dont know maybe there are some factors as well or maybe some investors switch to bitcoin to make profits, if it's true for sure when bitcoin plunges they will be back to alts... By the way mate you check their performance im CMC if you want to don't miss alt season.

Almost all altcoins have been pumped when Bitcoin rallied some time ago. And for now it will be very difficult to redefine the altcoins at any point to show even greater improvement. Except just increasing without passing ATH. The start of the year with forecasts still hard to review, maybe we have a chance in winter. Even that is not entirely certain, because seeing the price of Bitcoin is correcting, so the possibility for altcoins the impact of the correction will be much more significant when you look at the visible parameters.

His question is actually vague for me. If you're talking about alts in general, it is hard to predict as each alt has their own market trend. Not all alts are dependent on btc's market movement. But maybe for top alts, they usually follow the btc performance. Now, I don't know exactly which alts the OP are referring to. Better check also the progress of those coins he's holding to know if they can cope up with btc market. Alts can only keep up with btc trend if they are also doing good in terms of developments.
