$10,000 Minimum. Any less and it's not worth it for me. At a price around $5000, I will sell a very small(1%) portion of my investment to cover initial costs. The rest I will sell for $10,000 per coin at the least, or nothing at all. To me the opportunity cost of not investing in Bitcoin for big returns is worth less than the costs of losing my investment entirely.

I suggest everyone simply decide on what percentage of their wealth they'd like to keep in Bitcoin.  When your Bitcoin wealth, in USD terms, exceeds this percentage of your wealth, sell some to bring it in line.  You will thus be placing limit sell orders on the way up.  This way, if Bitcoin ever drops to $0 spontaneously, you will keep the amount you cashed out on the way up.  This scenario is extremely unlikely to occur.  But it's always best to diversify.

Impossible to say. It all depends on factors that are impossible to foretell as of this moment. If the price drops again and hovers in lower ranges, I may accumulate quite a bit more BTC more quickly. With a larger stash, that would change things. Or the price might crash hard, convincing me to cash out at $50.

Also depends on the performance of other investments I hold.

Adoption rates are also a big part of the equation. Ideally, as has been pointed out, I would never cash out, but rather I would spend bitcoin in retirement based on a favorable exchange rate. If BTC is, as is possible, less subject to devaluation than fiat, why would one ever cash out to fiat and watch purchasing power decline?

That would be great, at a price where I can sell enough Bitcoin that I would not need to sell the rest as the income that was generated from those coins will be worth enough to sustain all my needs and what not.

Pretty much Freedom (Bitcoin) would say Freedom 65 but I think it will be a lot faster than that to retirement  Grin
(That would be 40-50 or so years lol)

That phrase also mostly says that basically Bitcoin will be widely accepted by then and you don't have to sell it for FIAT money anymore, but rather just use it directly.

That's what you meant good point if I can purchase all my goods and services in Bitcoin and enjoy a very high exchange rate then there would be no need to be reliant on traditional financial services to handle your transactions.

Xapo debit cards etc if you need to use fiat for any reason
QR sends with your smartphone basically a completely interchangeable medium of exchange.

I still like the term Freedom BTC though ^_^

I would probably sell a little bit when bitcoin reaches 1200 again. Probably more when it reached 3,500 US.

10kish might be where I start selling. As I think 40k is definitely a realistic 5-7 year target, Unless something changes, I would only start selling a small portion at 10k.

As many afterwards will no doubt state, ideally I wouldn't be cashing out at all.

If I wanted to buy a house and no one was going to take BTC for one then I'll be waiting for the high tens of thousands unless I wanted to live in a caravan, in which case the price right about now will do.

Minimum 10k per coin

Das it mane. Any lower than that and my life will be exactly the same as it is now, just with a little more extra cash. I want a life changing amount of money, other than that is just depressing. Also, I will never cash out 100%, only 50%.
