if bitcoin has been recognized as a valid and official currency that can be used all over the world it is likely that not only Africans will get the machine all the countries will certainly make it

I think bitcoin will be big in Africa, it is safely kept away from the hands of the government. Anyone with wealth in Africa should invest in crypto, it is safer than buying diamonds and hiding them in a safe. Hope more ATM machines are set up over there

So because bitcoin ATM is being reported to have been launched in Kenya means that bitcoin is just reaching Africa. Internet has made the world global for those who are ready to make use of it and to have access and use bitcoin, you only need basic understanding of the internet and an average user of a smart phone is already endowed with such basic knowledge and that is very common in Africa. The launch of ATM have more of financial environment and its surrounding laws that the popularity of bitcoin.

ATM being launch in Kenya is a sign of major breakthrough of cryptocurrency in that country. The question most people ask if I tell them about bitcoin is how can I cash out in out country's traditional fiat currency. I believe if my country have atleast one ATM it will reduce my strength while explaining how to cash out bitcoin.

That's very much expected for bitcoin users in my country in the presence of ATM machines for bitcoin.
so if there is, we can directly use the ATM to shop something goods for our needs, without having to exchange first and then get the original currency.

According to BitClub, the bitcoin ATM connects to various exchanges and picks the best exchange rate at the time of purchase. The exchange rate however seems to be much higher than the market rate, making it a bit more expensive.

This is one of the reasons why I do not use Bitcoin ATMs, because the fees are outrageous. The idea behind this technology is to offer a cheaper alternative to the current financial solutions, but the introduction of these Bitcoin ATMs, just add a lot of extra cost to your transactions and cancel out any advantage that Bitcoin might have had over other financial instruments.

Agreed, it is a good onramp for adoption, but the main focus of this exercise in these countries should be to offer a cheaper alternative to Banks/Cash/MoneyGram/Western Union and M-Pesa.  Roll Eyes

That is good news.  Bitcoin is now accessible in kenya and this only shows another adoption of Bitcoin in a country. I am looking forward to the mass adoption in each in every country.

The opening of a bitcoin atm machine in Kenya is another proof that bitcoin can and will last a lifetime. This is another achievement for  cryptocurrency world, although there is a disadvantage for this because btc or crypto owners will go in public  to go to this  machine. But yes, this is certainly a good step d hopefully other countries will follow in the future.

It's great news and it's really brings additional points to bitcoin reputation because we all known that in the past few weeks there are lot of negative news spreading about it and probably it affects to the increasing number of it's adaptation process. However, for now it's really a good news that despite of many negative news spreading there are still people and country's that really trust, supporting and patronizing it in a way of making ATM machines for bitcoin.

I can see this is a great news for most bitcoin holder but it's for Kenya because they become one step better in their economic fundamental.

If Kenya really adopt bitcoin, I think inflation will be upon them that will lead everything gone expensive or I can be wrong !

It's a good news, Digital currencies become more popular in East Africa, hope it's not the only one.
According to the article I read stated that there are 15-20 people a day who used that ATM, particularly among younger people. It means Kenya had some of the largest Bitcoin holdings. The country has a good prospect.
