So I am not entirely sure what wallet I should use for exchanging insignificant amounts of alts without KYC (I do not see the benefit in surrendering my ID to random wallets just so I can exchange $10 or $20).
How about an instant exchange? For small amounts, it could be useful. It's better than depositing, trading, withdrawing (paying withdrawal fees) on a traditional CEX. There is a risk of having to do KYC there as well, but for small amounts such as $10, $20, I doubt anyone would bother. I can't really recommend such an instant swaps platform because I have no experience on that front, but I am sure you could find something checking out what BestChange offers, for example.

I'm not going to touch instant exchanges with a 10-foot pole. It's basically more of donations to shady entities or documents held hostage than actual exchanging. TradeOgre is the only one I really trust (I have never used BISQ, it looks way too complicated to install), but deposit and withdrawals are extraordinarily slow and take several hours to one day.

And why is this Wallet still on Ethereum.org listed? I guess it is the best Wallet for Windows.
Just because it appears on top of the list does not mean that it's the best wallet.

Have you seen the disclaimer at the bottom of the list?

Metamask is the most popular wallet with better user customization settings than others.
Metamask certainly is very popular if not the most popular that is true but the downside is mentioned below.

Metamask is the most popular wallet with better user customization settings than others.
I don't like MetaMask, it only supports ETH and its hexadecimal derivatives, and also, all scammers in the world target MetaMask because it's baked in the browser (a deal breaker for me).
That is the solution for those only wanting to deal Ethereum and associated derivatives but for those that want a wider group of crypto Metamask does not provide those services. When it was launched it was groundbreaking and took off instantly however it is limited in what it can offer but you are right about concerns related to it being operated as a browser plug-in, that is certainly off-putting.

And why is this Wallet still on Ethereum.org listed?
I found Guarda on their list : https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/
I don't think everyone should be knowing what is going on every corner of the internet. May be you can report the site administrator with the link of the topic but I will agree here with noorman0. They may not exclude any wallet as long as it is supporting Ethereum network.

I have Guarda wallet installed but that's holding insignificant amounts of crypto, not my main funds (that's Electrum's job). I have mainly used it only to exchange various currencies to BTC.
I used it in the past and it looked very convenient to me.

I'm on the fence here.

I stopped using Atomic Wallet because it kept crashing my desktop when exiting.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
And why is this Wallet still on Ethereum.org listed? I guess it is the best Wallet for Windows.
The ethereum site doesn't exclude any wallets as long as it supports their network and that doesn't mean the brands listed there are recommended ones, you should do your own research. But I guess they have a complete list of category filters.

Know anybody a better alternative? I was testing this Gnosis Wallet but this need other wallets and have maybe no own wallet. Guarda is not open source and nobody know wether this known scammers will steal the private keys.

Hey guys, we saw the mention of Atomic Wallet. However the topic starter issue was not directly related to our company. He used pretty other service ChangeNOW. As far as we understand from the discussion, user violated their KYC/AML policy by sending fake documents. Exchange service completed the legal investigation and returned funds to the initial address. As we see in the thread.

As for mobile version, we did not yet released the app. Only desktop available for now. Please, be aware of any other apps in the store pretending to be us. The only apps are published for downloading on our official website. You are very welcome!

Pathetic liars.

It has been shown that Changenow, Changelly, Atomic Wallet and Guarda are controlled by the same scammers !

Your sister company Changenow tried to selectively scam the OP when using the Changelly API but you screwed with the wrong man. He took out banner adverts to expose you pathetic scammers and in the end he got his funds back.

The OP never violated any AML/KYC policy.

Sure it took nearly 4 months but he did it, he got his funds back and in the process he exposed the Changenow, Changelly, Atomic Wallet and Guarda connection and destroyed your reputation

Who really pays for those attack ads?

First Changelly, then this. Are there any other 'instant' exchanges left to attack?

There might be a coordinated plot against competition here. Shapeshift was the leader in this space for a long time, but has maintained unfavorable margins that competitors are beating, thus offering a better service. Perhaps its investors are scared about losing their market share now that so much money has been poured in. They recently closed their smart contract project 'prism' too, after so muc development going into it.

Roger Ver and Erik Voorhees are key investors in Shapeshift.
I pay for it. I'm Roger Ver baby! In July, I realized that the idea to create my own Bitcoin is complete crap, and so I decided to exchange all my shitcoins for real Bitcoin but this fucking gang ruined my mood  Sad

Your fucking bunch with fake names, fake country and secret office' address can't investigate anything because you are nobody.
And you returned the money just because you were afraid to lose more than you stole from me. You were hoping for 3 months that I would calm down, but no, I would never calm down, because I never put up with shit like you.

The fact that you fucking freaks have bought some kind of shitty offshore companies does not help you escape responsibility.
You are Brusov, Sokolov and others St. Petersburg freaks - you are all one. You all  stole my money. You are guilty of this. And all your shit services are scam, because the people who own it are scammers. I repeat you are fucking scammers.
And I urge everyone to boycott the services made by these freaks. Only in this way you will show the rest of the scammers in internet that stealing/scam is very bad idea.

For an unrelated company you seem very aware of the facts and seem to adopt the point of view of Changenow.

So recently I was interested in buying an altcoin my friend recommended (TEL) and when I went to coinmarketcap they recommended the Atomic Wallet for storage

I went to download via Google Play store on mobile and luckily checked the reviews before downloading because the real Atomic wallet app is only available on iOS at the moment and the android version was set up by some dodgy dudes  (to scam coins off users?)

Are you talking about the fake (android) Atomic wallet, or the 'real' one on iOS?

Roger Ver and Erik Voorhees are key investors in Shapeshift.

Vorhees is known for duping investors with a project that didn't even get started after doing an IPO in bitcoin early days.

I'm absolutely to blame for the failure of FZB, and for the poor communication after it fell apart.

Now, "BTC should payback bitcoin," you say. First, investors don't get "paid back" when a business fails.

This scheme, may or may not have contributed to formulating Voorhees' bitcoin fortune and making him a 'key investor' in the space.

Ver on the other hand, built on Voorhees' concept from that failed IPO and build his own paid trolling network, paying people to promote his ideas. He used it extensively to pure vitriol on the bitcoin community and spread propaganda for his BCash altcoin.

Those two are not new to using subversive tactics to promote their personal agenda. I wouldn't be surprised if they had devised a plan to hurt the reputation of their competitors by manipulating public opinion.

I saw this banner and decided to leave a message here. To begin, the “SCAM ChangeNOW” is not true - the coins returned to OP after the completion of legal procedures. But this guy, who sent a fake photo several times, paid for distributing shit, bought votes, still claims that this company is a scam.

I think he needs to go to a psychiatrist, because this story influenced his mind. He sees fraudsters everywhere.

My conclusion: All of these services are scammers and I believe that such people have no place in the crypto world, they disgrace it and lower the trust of cryptocurrency. Do not work with them or support them.

The only thing that users have to learn is the fact that sending a photo of your ass to avoid KYC can be a big problem!

If op didn't pay for advertising his 100bch would be taken. Just because he did what he did, doesnt give right to anybody to hold his funds.
After 3 months they comes up with idea to refund?

You need some therapy or stop being sockpuppet for those scammers services. I wonder what would you do if found yourself in this situation.
