There are multiple threads scattered around the forum of issues with Atomic Wallet and the company behind it.
For a short time, I think somewhere in 2021, I used Atomic Wallet for some fork coins of Bitcoin. I didn't have much trust in it, but there wasn't a lot of value at stake, so I accepted the risk of using it.
There is ⚠️⚠️ 300M+ Ongoing Biggest Crypto Scam LEAK [Changelly & Freewallet and more] ⚠️ which unfortunately isn't further entertained by its poster cryptowatergate. Very interesting details about shady companies and people around Atomic Wallet and more. I posted about it earlier in this thread.
Then we have A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised. I followed this topic but now I can't remember exactly what details were discussed besides some huge losses of Atomic Wallet users.
My Bitcoin was stolen from Atomic wallet on the 3rd of June

I strongly suggest to stop using Atomic Wallet. It's closed-source to my knowledge, it has tons of issues and a lot of users lost quite some large amounts of coins and value! Enough should be enough by now (long ago).

I've used it long time ago until a lot of problems and scam accusations have appeared not just in forum but also in other places. I guess what you can do is to just raise awareness and make people look at your case and convince of not using them.
And the same goes for changelly, there have been a lot of negative threads that have been made against them in here.

The only thing we can do is to aware the people avoid using Atomic Wallet and use only the trusted open source crypto wallets for keeping our funds safe.
Wallet Advice for any new person should be Electrum for Bitcoin and Unstoppable Wallet for Altcoins.

Some interesting details were posted and it looked like an interesting investigation.

We know what happened with Atomic wallet and how many people lost their funds because they used the wallet, it is a closed source wallet and it is not recommended to use closed source wallets. However, i am curious what the purpose of this thread is, are you warning people about Atomic wallet? We have been doing that since that incident.

Not all apps that are on the Apple Store and Play Store are legit. There are a lot of scam apps and clone ones that are available for download there, and if you are not careful enough, you will fall victim to using those apps.
I don't even know the kind of security check the security team of those stores carries out on the apps before they approve it and make it available for public download, or they don't even run those checks until they are being reported by scammed customers.

Importantly you can not rely on either Apple Store or Google Play and their works to be safe for your devices and funds. You must proactively secure your devices and fund, so let's start with official websites of exchanges, wallet softwares on which you can find official links to their application download links.
Never start with Searching on either Apple Store or Google Play when you need to find and download any application.

The app on the Google Store has a rating of 4.3 out of a possible 5, so although I don't know if that is the only reason why it is still present there - but as far as I can see, it is also available on the Apple store with a rating of 4.4. It's possible that such high ratings are a result of before the hack, because from what I see, most of the new comments are negative.
People will always use what is free, even if it is something bad and dangerous. It just shows that people know very little about basic things.

I think it is geo blocked in some regions but still available on play store and IOS as you should expect. Always do your research as public platforms do not do that for you. An app being available on mobile stores does not mean it is safe, neither does a website having a lock symblo show it is safe to access. DYOR.You can go one step further and report the app. If enough people do so, it may be taken down.

It's not something they can do anything about given that it's nearly impossible to prove. Besides, they could still host the apps (APK and .exe for desktop) on their website. Sure they'll have less exposure, but still.
I'm curious though, have you been scammed by them? What made you make this post now if your wallet was drained a year ago?
I don't believe they ever took accountability for what happened, or reimbursed their users, did they? Unless you're asking the users who took legal actions against them then I believe the case has been dismissed recently.
