Unfortunately Cryptsy is unresponsive, ignoring support requests.  And we are forced to take up the matter in public media.

I hope this is a simple mistake, and not a pattern.  But we’ve given Cryptsy every chance to make things right, yet they continue to ignore us.

I’m helping a friend with an XRP trade.  We choose to exit the position using Cryptsy.

We deposited the XRP in Cryptsy.  And tried to place a stop-loss order.

We got errors with the order.  So we sent a support request regarding the stop loss errors.

A day or 2 later we login to the account to test if Cryptsy has fixed the issue.  The XRP was missing.  We checked the transaction history.  Nothing shows.  It’s as if it was never deposited.

We open a support ticket.

We get a response back asking for the username & email.  We send the username & the XRP deposit transaction details.

And that’s the last we have heard from them.  That was 4 days ago.

We’ve contacted them multiple times since.  All showing in the ticket history.

Yet they continue to ignore us.

In the meantime our stop loss has long been hit, and the market continues down.  Causing us to lose yet more every day.

I want to give Crytpsy every benefit of the doubt here.  But they simply refuse to respond.

If you have coins in Cryptsy be advised.  Deposits are showing up missing, and Cryptsy simply ignores you when you try to get it resolved!

Cryptsy agents reading this, get this resolved, or we’ll take up a suit, not just for the missing coins, but also for the wealth lost because of the delay in giving us access to our funds.

Cryptsy, you already have enough legal issues.  Don’t add to the pile.

Saw someone complaining on Reddit about 180 BTC withdrawl being held. For what its worth, I had like 11 Bitcoins on Cryptsy at some point the withdrawal was taking awhile (About 1+ Year ago), Took a couple days after that to resolve the situation. Just remain calm, and prepare for the worst, hope for the best. I can't speak for Cryptsy now, but it has been a pretty reputable site back when I was using it regularly, we all know these things can change quite quickly.

My experience with Cryptsy had been overall descent with a few hair pulling experiences few and far between, mostly when it is detrimental.

If a coin gets dumped or pumped and your coin is not ALREADY deposited you are screwed.   You will not be able to deposit fast enough to profit or cut losses.

Basically if the volume on a coin is too high the exchange just cannot handle it.  You cannot capitalize on moves unless you store your coins there and have them on hand to work with (which I refuse to do).

Otherwise it seems to work great for constantly missing opportunities.

Stop loss orders are only meaningful if there is some counter-party on the other end of the trade willing to buy your coins.

With some of these Alt coins, I suspect there are cases where days go by with NOBODY willing to buy them. At any price.

I'm more then aware of this, and plan our stop-losses accordingly.  This market volume can more then handle the planned trade.

I feel that Big may pull the plug on Cryptsy and run with the money anytime soon.

Try contacting them again. Contact Vern on Twitter and see if someone answers you, or contact them directly through the phone. Make multiple support tickets if needed, and try to talk to them through the chat!

This is really bad for their image... People with large funds have constant problems there. There's a guy on Reddit who can't withdraw 180 BTC... Never put much there myself, but I also had some problems with them every now and then.

I hope you're right.

But 4 days is unacceptable.  It's unacceptable in any market.  But particularly unacceptable in a time-sensitive trading environment.

Agree, 4 days is a very long time. But personally I'd just chase them after 12-24 hours if no reply, maybe it's just a case of mistake made by member of staff (marking you ticket as 'resolved' or not passing it to relevant person etc).

I've seen my coins appear and disappear tons of times on there, the servers are overloaded. Luckily I only store shitcoins there.

Seems you are not the only guy having problem here as there were few others who made complaints about deposit not appearing. I'm not really sure what happened but 4 days is really a long time to wait. I guess, the only way is still through the support staff.

Is 4 days such a long time?
Not saying anyone is right or wrong, but i can easily imagine a scenario where they could be understaffed and at the same time get a huge backlog of problems to respond to and it can take a bit longer than 4 days...

in the past ive seen cryptsy to be responsive, so hopefully this is an innocent delay for some reason.
