Assuming the card is bought within last 6-9 months, at what price would you guys stock up the used AMD GPUs.

Here it is for me:

Rx 470/480 - $80
Rx 570/580 - $90

Above is including shipping.

Wow, I didn't realize they might get that cheap. How much more efficient are these than the R9 290x? Are they also more powerful in terms of H/s? I'm trying to think of some uses for old GPUs. Or maybe I'll just give up and get a 1080ti  Grin

I'll grab some rx580 8gb for 100 these prices wont last its only a matter of time before prices recover or something new comes along it may take another 6 months but mining profits will come back even if we have to wait out the difficulty to adjust from all the people to shut down and sell their rigs who thought they where going to strike gold mining

Yeah selling at all time lows isn't really a good strategy, whether we are talking about GPUs or coin values.

I say let the hypers and bandwagoners sell. I occasionally try to low ball local postings to try and see if any budge. The difficult thing is that when they agree to prices as low as $90 i'm not even sure if i should continue buying it or not.

The more expensive the energy of the country, the greater the supply of used gpus.  Wink

Brand New 580s going for 175 now. Don't know why used ones are still holding up prices.

LOL! Basically a similiar thing happened locally.

Wanted to pick up more RX 470/570 and chose to lowball a few people when ETH was like $170 USD. I got a guy interested. However we were suppose to meet up yesterday for the transaction, and he doesn't want to sell them anymore.

And he didn't even specify the truth, basically said "Oh, I can give it to my Son instead for games".

ETH goes up a little and everyone becomes a miner again.

Lol.. man being stubborn

oh Well, wait a few more days when eth price dips again

and when that happens , for sure that guy missed an opportunity to let go of his card

btw, I've known a person selling gtx 1070 at 200usd its so tempting

upcoming Eth ASICs with hash costs about $3/MH will bring even lower prices on GPUs...

The best way to find a "good" second hand price is to use eBay and use your country as a location.

Go to eBay and search for
RX 470
Rx480
RX 580
RX 570

And click on "completed listings" and look for anything that shows up green. And those are the ones which sold.
You can also specify "used" since the "new" generally go for a higher price.

If you want a great deal for a used GPU for games then look at Nvidia instead. They fell in price more than AMD because they were slightly more expensive to begin with and Nvidia is generally better for gaming.

There are some rx570 and rx470 are price drop after the price of eth fall. Voskcoin posted images with the price around $80 to $110 which is really cheap compared the price last year. So I think cheaper than that will be fine I think around $50 to $80 for rx470 and $60 to $90 for rx570.
I am very interested in powercolor rx 580 8GB. However, I still see people expecting 150+ on ebay for that. I think ETH has to go down a bit more till that GPU is solved for 100 buck including shipping.

That's a big 'if'. BTW what kind $ per KW/h do you have and how many cards are you looking to buy? If you are planning to mine ETH only then why not go for the asics? given that you have access to cheap energy.

Currently have a 24 GPUs out of which 1 is not working. I plan to get few more by winter. I thought about ASICs but E3 is overpriced and other BTC ones would need 220V. I am at 110v. Z mini is attractive but still overpriced considering it would be much difficult to resale compared to GPUs

TBH it will be hard for you to get your hands on these models at those mentioned prices. Most farm owners would have already cleared their stock like a few months ago. Bump the prices up by $20 for each and you might get lucky.
I think if the ETH goes down to lower 100 , we will be able to see those prices on Ebay.
