Noone ever will pay 19 btc for this 10 btc coin. Bitmarket is just dreaming that he'll get that price. If his coins were fairly priced they would sell, not sit on the shelf for 2+ years.

I wouldn't mind my coins sitting on the shelf for 2+ years if I eventually get that kind of pricing.  In fact, I do keep mine on a shelf that long.
What's wrong with waiting?  It's not like the coin takes up a lot of space.  And, a graded coin doesn't degrade over time.

Yeah, I buy my collectibles with the mindset that I might never sell them, just hand them down to my kids when they are old enough. But my post was more on the paradox of $/BTC value, I mean it's not unlikely that BTC could be in the $10k's range in 20 years when I hand my physical coins to my children. At that point they are worth a lot more in $ value than what the OP is asking for now, however I could also just hold 19btc for 20 years and that would be more valuable than the coin in terms of $.  Hard to determine best time to buy is my point.  Smiley

For a collector keeping it on the shelf is a wonderful idea, but for someone selling a product having it sit for 2 years is not only bad, its detrimental to future sales of the coin.
Its the same reason people who are selling a house dont leave it on the market for two years. No one wants  to buy that stale old house that everyone was rejecting for the last 24 months or more.

He needs to make an aggressive price drop to renew interest or pull them from the market all together.
But what do I know. Im just Sourgummies.

Off topic a bit, but I'm always interested in high value collectibles, I own several Casascius, all Kialara's, all Titan coins, all Alitin's, and a few others. Considering a potential BTC bull run, do you price your coins based on $ or always in BTC? Do you think it's better to sell when BTC is low, since you are more likely to get more BTC on the premium. I can't imagine if BTC is at $10k (for example), that someone would still pay 19BTC for this, but then again someone might. It's interesting to think about, price of a BTC collectible since you have to consider two different variable values. sorry to derail the thread.

Anyway, my offer of of 14.5 is retracted and my new offer is 11.5

Good luck with that.  Let me know if you find someone selling at 11.5   I would be happy to buy all the seller has to offer.

I'll offer 14.25 but that's my top top and I think you should except it.

I'd offer 15BTC myself but everyone knows he won't accept that. The premium on these doesn't change very much, they are in low supply and lots of people want them  Wink

Are you kidding me, you sound like a bitmarket shill. He's been trying to sell this for years and no one is willing to pay what he wants because his price is too high. He's living back in the day when btc was super cheap and people were throwing them around like candy. That day has come and gone and he aka you missed your chance at those ridiculous markups.

In order for a deal to occur a price has to be agreed on by the buyer and the seller. No reason to lash out at others.

Yeah I agree but it has been years its for sale an no one is willing to pay his/ (possibly yours ask or even come close.

In the real world we call this supply and demand. Sure the supply is low but the demand is even lower. And that's why he's still sitting on the coin trying to sell it and of course no one is buying because his price is crazy.

Does that mean you're lowering the price?   Wink

Your cute Michail1 =]

Well as you remember last time I resisted it for 6-7 months and someone eventually bought it for a price I agreed with. I can't go as low as you wish ='/

Eodguy a shill?  He's been a collector here for awhile.  And as far as the pricing, to bitmarket's defense i dont see many others up for sale.  If there were others sold recently on this forum for much lower prices then your argument might be valid, but when its a sellers market for a certain coin (which the 10 is) then he has every right to ask as much as he can get.

But it is nice and graded so I'll offer 11.5 btc.

I'll buy the next 100 at that price (ya know, I have a budget to keep).  It's a sexy price.   Wink

Love the video.

any one who is dumb enough to send even a trusted member of the forum 16 BTC without escrow is asking for trouble. Let this be a lesson for everyone PLEASE USE ESCROW!!!  Grin

Not to detract from the matter at hand but isn't an escrow in itself a "trusted member of the forum" at some point you just have to trust _someone_ the escrow is still just another forum user

Anyway, beautiful coin but unfortunately way out of my budget.

Yes an escrow is a "trusted" member.  Most of the time handling escrow transactions is a steady flow of income for the escrow, and they may perform hundreds or thousands of transactions a year. So for them to ruin/destroy/ their reputation over 1 sale (even if it is 19 BTC) wouldn't be worth it for them, as they would never perform another transaction here again, and be flagged in that famous "red" as a scammer.

thanks!

Just a heads up there is an imposter impersonating this seller sending PM's asking for a sale and direct payment so anyone posting in this thread please be careful if you receive a PM from this user bitmarket.org

I also advise anyone that is willing to post negative feedback for this user is a SCAMMER!!

Thanks for the heads up!

As stated in the OP escrow is to be handled by Blazed. No direct payments.

I left him negative feedback. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitmarketorg-911603
