This is our latest and greatest coin, a beautiful 2016 Limited Edition 1 BTC Denarium Silver Coin with a Gold Finish. The weight of the coin is 1oz and it is .999 silver with a gold finish. We are auctioning the first 10 coins from this limited edition series. The total batch is 90 coins and the rest (80) will be on sale at Denarium.com when the auctions are finished.
The coins in this auction are *not* pre-assembled due to the fact that we just received the first finished coins from our partner. We wanted to launch this coin in the year 2016 so this is why we are launching the auction today. The serial numbers reserved for the coins in this auction are A150, A151, A152, A153, A154, A155, A156, A157, A158, A159.
Importantly, all buyers must understand that there is the possibility of a hologram failure at assembly which could lead to a slight change in the serial numbers. Likelihood of this is not very high these days as our production process has improved significantly.
Picture of the coinQuality of the coinThe coins have a special gold finish which makes them look unique and valuable. The surface quality of the coin is excellent and everyone in our team agrees that this is the most beautiful coin we have produced to date.
Packaging of the coinEach coin will be shipped in this special packaging.
General informationYou are ONLY bidding for the coin itself, not the bitcoin value inside the coin. If you win a coin, you can choose to buy it loaded which will add 1 BTC to the auction price. Or you can choose to buy it empty. To the US we can only sell coins that are not loaded by us. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.
Shipping costEurope: Free of charge
Outside Europe: 20 € extra cost in addition to the bid price
Serial numbersAll the coins have special auction serials (A). The serials reserved for the coins in this auction are A150, A151, A152, A153, A154, A155, A156, A157, A158, A159. These are very special since all the coins sold at the website will have either L (loaded) or E (empty) serials.
The winners of the auction can (in succession starting from the highest bidder) choose which serial they want. It can be the lowest available but also one of the others.
Importantly, all buyers must understand that there is the possibility of a hologram failure at assembly which could lead to a slight change in the serial numbers. Likelihood of this is not very high these days as our production process has improved significantly.
Shipping dateThe coins will be shipped in January 2017.
How to bidYou can bid for any amount of coins from 1 coin to 10 coins. The bidding format is "Nickname 2 @ 0.5" which means "I'm bidding for 2 coins, 0.5 bitcoins each". If you want to bid for one coin only, post "Nickname 1 @ 0.5". If for all of them, post "Nickname 20 @ 0.5". The auction is conducted by using 2 decimals only. So you can bid "2 @ 0.51" but DO NOT bid "2 @ 0.511".
So if I were bidding for 2 coins and 0.5 BTC each, I would post "Technomage 2 @ 0.5". If you forget to add your nickname, the bid will not count. So don't forget. It is much easier for us to record the bids when the nickname is also posted.
Each winner will pay exactly the amount that they bid. Meaning that if the highest bidder bid 1 bitcoin and the lowest winning bidder bid 0.4 bitcoin, then the highest bidder will pay 1 bitcoin for his coin and the lowest winning bidder will pay 0.4 bitcoin for his.
Auction rules- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.01.
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win a coin.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify the nickname of the bidder, the price of the bid and the amount of coins the bidder is bidding for, or if they could not possibly win any slots.
- Winning bidders must inform me within 24 hours after the end of the auction which serial number they are choosing and which country the coin will be shipped to. Then the winner has another 24 hours to pay the full auction price.
If these rules are confusing, please ask in the thread and I will answer.
I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin.
