Additional information: Read below
Here is our latest coin, which we believe to be one of the greatest physical bitcoins of all time. This is the Denarium 1 BTC Gold Parity Coin. The weight of the coin is 1oz and it is .999 gold.
We are auctioning a further 5 coins from the first batch, this time with regular serial numbers (L/E). 3 coins with special serials were auctioned earlier. The first batch is in total 23 coins, which we are auctioning until we have sufficient price discovery to be able to list the product at Denarium.com.
The idea behind the coin is celebrating the 2017 price parity event of 1 bitcoin and 1oz gold. Also we believe bitcoin is digital gold and this coin is a great way to combine both traditional gold and digital gold.
This is not a limited edition and we may produce more batches in 2017 if the demand is there. Due to the high price point of these coins we however estimate that the total amount of coins produced will be small.
The coins in this auction are not pre-assembled and we will not promise specific serials to any of the winners. The coin will be E-series if bought as empty, and L-series if bought as loaded. Coins will be assembled shortly after the auction and then shipped.
Pictures of the coinQuality of the coinThese are non-polished solid gold coins which have both shiny and matte finished sections in the design. The coins look good to the naked eye and we are happy with the result. This coin is worth the money.
Packaging of the coinEach coin will be shipped in a special packaging. Note that the design of the packaging is still a work in progress so there might be slight changes compared to this picture.
General informationYou are ONLY bidding for the coin itself, not the bitcoin value inside the coin. If you win a coin, you can choose to buy it loaded which will add 1 BTC to the auction price. Or you can choose to buy it empty. To the US we can only sell coins that are not loaded by us. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.
Shipping costFree of charge worldwide! The value of this is around 50 € on average depending on the location, so keep that in mind when bidding.
Serial numbersAs we have already auctioned the special A series coins from the first batch, these will have either L (loaded) or E (empty) serials assigned by us.
The winners of the auction can choose to either have the coin loaded or empty and that will define the serial type. In this auction there is no advantage to being the #1 bidder, any of the winning slots are equally good.
Shipping dateThe coins will be shipped within a week after the auction payments have been finalized.
How to bidYou can bid for any amount of coins from 1 coin to 5 coins. The bidding format is "Nickname 2 @ 0.8" which means "I'm bidding for 2 coins, 0.8 bitcoins each". If you want to bid for one coin only, post "Nickname 1 @ 0.8". If for all of them, post "Nickname 5 @ 0.8". The auction is conducted by using 2 decimals only. So you can bid "2 @ 0.81" but DO NOT bid "2 @ 0.811".
So if I were bidding for 2 coins and 0.8 BTC each, I would post "Technomage 2 @ 0.8". If you forget to add your nickname, the bid will not count. So don't forget. It is much easier for us to record the bids when the nickname is also posted.
Each winner will pay exactly the amount that they bid. Meaning that if the highest bidder bid 1.5 bitcoin and the lowest winning bidder bid 1 bitcoin, then the highest bidder will pay 1.5 bitcoin for his coin and the lowest winning bidder will pay 1 bitcoin for his.
Auction rules- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.01.
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win a coin.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify the nickname of the bidder, the price of the bid and the amount of coins the bidder is bidding for, or if they could not possibly win any slots.
- I will contact the winning bidders within 24 hours of the end of the auction with payment instructions. Then the winner has another 24 hours to pay the full auction price.
If these rules are confusing, please ask in the thread and I will answer.
I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin.
