As Captain Krogoth waded in the water hodling onto shattered timbers of his boat, he looked around with dismay as his men struggled to stay afloat. I wonder what will become of us as he looked over in the vast horizon of endless blue sky. He sighed as this was not his first time encountering hese whales, but this was a formidable foe.
Moral was very low at this point and Krogoth dispaired over his loss on a high bid...In his mind he could see the whale in the distance slowly dissapearing over the horizon and probably the last he will ever see of it and his precious high bid caught in its mighty jaw.
But just as he had almost lost all signs of hope, he saw a sister whaling ship closing in to where he and his men were fins started wading. It arrived in the knick of time too as dorsal fins could be seen heading towards the group. Probably the sharks had caught the scent of btc in the water and were slowly but surely coming in for the last minute snipe meal.
Once he and his men were safely on board, he turned to his fellow Captain Luck and told him his adventerous story and then asked that he would need to commandeer his ship to try and catch with the whale before it dived down in the depths...out of reach forever.
Captain Luck agreed..he had heard stories of past battles that had been lost by so many other Captains. Thus Captain Krogoth started the hunt for the whale with the high bid..
Time was of the essence and was ticking away....Was he mad? The crew looked at their worn out captain...clothing tattered...his face worn out in this hunt of hunts...why oh God would he go against such a mighty formidable leviation knowing the chances of him succeeding were slim...very slim. Yet they understood too...madness had started to creep in and an obsession with this Cas prize to be obtained at all costs..including risking their lives for the hunt of such a bounty!
But arent we al foolish mortals at the end of the day? How can one logically fathom what drives a man into such madness!! Was not Troy attacked in pursuit of the lovely Helen..for 10 years they battled for one lady...how many lives have been lost in the attempted conquest of Everest? Aye, I do believe the coin makes people crazy too..all in attempt of such a prize! Yet the glint in his eyes could be seen by all the shipmates..nothing would stop him in his quest.
For days they travelled on the rough seas...it took a few days to finally catch up to the almighty whale. Following a trail of birds he came upon a site where two whales battling away at the great prize. Blood was in the water...dorsal fins of all sizes circled waiting for there chance to dig in this bounty...but yet it seemed none dared attack such was the size of the beasts. Many had in the past but were estroyed by the monstrous size of the tails. They could somehow sense the battle had just gotten started. There would be casualties and then they would finish off any survivors.
Captain Krogoth was calm....and harpoon at the ready...harpoon at the ready. His last ecounter with this almighty beast still ran thru his weary mind..Oh such a hunt he has been on for all these years and it all comes down to this. He could sense the tension in the air and also felt the adrenaline rush thru his old veins. Such a moment ignited the passion for the hunt that had brought him to sea so many moons ago. As a young lad he had heard the stories of this beast..almighty beast who had ruined many a hunt. Today would be different...today the almighty would deliver him the prize from this legendary foe!
Krogoth waited for the right oppurtunity and as soon as he had him in his site he threw his bidding harpoon and managed to grab onto the high bid as the whales furiously trashed around and turned to come back to reclaim it. But oh what a battle ensued...nonethless Krogo held on to the almighty prize as the whale carcasses floated in the rough blood red sea!
Ahh matey..what a battle it twas..weary krogoth drenched in whale blood just lays down exhausted and smiles.
GG. Love the story and enjoy the coin!
