UPDATE: There will be no unfunded coins for this auction or any other auction for these coins that I make in the future.

So aside from your auctions, will any of the sale coins come unfunded?

No they will not.

Which is why I advise people before they purchase these coins that they are required to fund them.

Question for Collectors:

What, if anything, would/could stop a buyer from purchasing a set of my coins, loading them with the full face value, then redeeming them by peeling off the holograms and say cleaning the coins from the hologram residue?

To you, as collectors, would it be any different than if someone just bought the coins without any holograms in the first place?

(Assuming the price they paid was no different than the normal price I set my coins at (outside of auctions) for both scenarios)

Your feedback here is greatly appreciated.

@Hellot, I am in no rush to sell these coin sets. When they sell, they sell.

In fact this auction was posted because I had several requests to post an auction for these XMR coins as I had not posted an auction for these in a while. I am already busy as is, but to fill the demand for the auction, I decided to "give the people what they want".

The difference is in exclusivity.  When you said you weren't going to sell these without them being funded, that set a barrier to entry and you are now lowering it.  If someone wanted a coin before, they had to get one from someone who could fund it originally - one of your customers. Now they can just buy one and it will likely be nicer than one that had been peeled.

I would care less if these weren't the nicest coins in my collection. Smiley

@Hellot,

I will be sticking to the "no unfunded" coins comment I made originally.

It was my mistake in putting that sentence at the top of this auction.

Thank you for your honest feedback.

You're welcome, thank you for giving it thought.  I had mixed feelings about being open about it but felt it was the best way to check my self with other opinions.  These are absolutely some of the most beautiful coins and I love the exclusiveness of them. Smiley
