Well, most people on our Slack channel are aware of what has happened, there is ~30 of us on there. I am not the only one...
I was asked to post in the thread, and that's exactly what I have done.
I wanna join the slack channel, and I am wondering if I am allowed to bid on this or not?

Hi dozerz. We have an invites channel where members get to vote on anyone new. I will put your name forward. We no longer accept everyone into the channel, as that had disastrous consequences before along with a lot of fighting between users. As you found with the previous channel being shutdown.
