Mind you, I never touched it with my bare hands.
You can imagine I was staring at it for minutes from every possible angle... it's lovely.

Care to share some photos from your stash? Wink

My 'stash' has shrunk to only 2 coins. One is up for auction currently and the other one will most likely be mine forever.
It are indeed very very beautiful coins, can't compare it with any other.

I've send another PM a few hours ago.

Thanks!

They will ask to confirm the details via bitcointalk pm, at the moment when the person to pick it up is in the office. Just make sure you're ready to send a pm at that specific time and you should be good.

Electricity is really just organized lightning
Did you get a chance to take pics of the booklet? Or you could send me your coin so I can inspect it for a while  Cheesy.

You know, I totally forgot to take the pictures and add them, apologies! I'll set a reminder to do it tomorrow morning, won't forget this time Tongue

As for letting you take care of one of my coins for me, I must thank you for the generous offer, but I am going to have to politely decline at this stage.

A friend of mine should bring my coin home around 20th of October. Roll Eyes
I really appreciate the fact that you guys shared your experiences, it gave me the opportunity to contact and inform him about the details.

But I must admit that I'm a little bit nervous until I see it live with my own eyes.
Will keep you posted.

You won't be disappointed once you see it. Good to have you in the elite btcc club Cheesy

Does anyone know where can be found a secondary markets for such coins? or what the price of exchange is around?

The only likely secondary market will be right here, on this forum. That said, I doubt you will see many appear for sale.

As for the price? Not able to answer your question as we have zero sales to go on, but it's going to be down to whatever someone is willing to sell one for, and what one may be willing to pay.

Thank you for your help. Those coins got much harder to get now that you've got to be chinese or be able to pick them up there. Do we know if they could ship them abroad again in the foreseeable future?

As you said, no one is actually selling their 1/2 btc coins for the moment.

If I understand it correctly, as long as the coins are made out of silver or gold they won't be able to ship them internationally.
Chips shouldn't be a problem I guess

Yep I understood it exactly the same way. If the product contains any precious metals, then BTCC will not be shipping those outside of China either.

Up for another trip someday, bavicrypto? Grin haha.

If you live in the USA, all you could have ever bought was the "red hat" - They can't legally sell loaded coins to USA customers, just like every other place on earth, including the USA even... Sad

Well, now the store is sold out completely, not even a hat left for sale lol.

I'd definitely go again if I have the time. Perhaps we can meet there next time Cheesy BTCC is so hyped currently that people can't even resist the hats anymore  Grin

Thanks for all that info Zepher,  good to know about customs and how everything worked out. I had a friend that use to go to China twice a year but he lives in south Florida now and runs a company.  Japan would be my favorite place to go (bucket list).
