Will these notes be released on your website ?

We will eventually release a "B" series with unlimited production in the future.

However, we are planning to auction most of the limited A series to fund said production.

Thanks for the info !

During our testing phase we found that the foil blocks the chip from both sides of the note.

Basically the metal affects the chip until it is removed.

EDIT: I should add that naturally the public key in another location on the note without the foil...

Awesome, can you explain how the NFC works?

Sure thing!!

Near-field communication (NFC) is a set of communication protocols that enable two electronic devices, one of which is usually a portable device such as a smartphone, to establish communication by bringing them within 4 cm (1.6 in) of each other.

NFC devices are used in contactless payment systems, similar to those used in credit cards and electronic ticket smartcards and allow mobile payment to replace/supplement these systems. This is sometimes referred to as NFC/CTLS (Contactless) or CTLS NFC. NFC is used for social networking, for sharing contacts, photos, videos or files. NFC-enabled devices can act as electronic identity documents and keycards. NFC offers a low-speed connection with simple setup that can be used to bootstrap more capable wireless connections.

I think he means how it works on the note Grin.

There is an NFC chip on the back, which you can load with the priv key. The note comes with a special metallic piece of foil (same shape as the NFC chip). You place the piece of foil on the NFC chip and cover it with a tamper proof hologram. The metallic foil prevents you from reading the NFC chip, keeping the private key perfectly safe (as long as the tamper proof hologram is intact). Another NFC chip on the front allows you to load the public key on it, so you can check to see if the note is loaded.

Additional clarification question.

That covers protection from the back of the note, how is it protected from being read through the front of the note?

Whoops! Sorry for the late reply!

Thanks for explaining it in detail folks Cheesy

To add on, here is the actual instruction sheet added in the packaging. Should help clear things up.
