Minereum is scam as we all know it, if you haven't there you go, there are many projects like this that deals in Ponzi schemes, I don't praise any project until they actually turn to $$ for me, unless they are top 10 - 20 on coinmarketcap

Many bounty hunters think they are rich because they finished two or three bounties successful well you are only rich on the registered spreadsheet, most times your 1000$ worth of stake turns 10$,  Grin

I don't know how possible is this. There's this airdrop I did ''minereum'' around February this year, I just received the airdrop token which is about 32,000 and I checked it on Coinmarketcap and the value skyrocketed like about 306% as of when I received the airdrop token yesterday
  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/minereum/
A friend of mine is telling me that it's audio money, that I can't trade on it. Which I find it hard to believe. Your opinion is really needed in this situation

I don't know about this project but the question is, have you tried trading it and where you successful? But I think you haven't, and if am right and you can't then it is wise knowing what happened; is there a lockup period? Is there any further step to take?
To offer suggestions, if there is lockup period then you can only but wait till then but if there isn't and you are required to perform further steps like sending ETH for whatever reasons etc, then I would say you forget about it. Just know that most team who wants to scam their users will use different strategies, it is an airdrop and as such should be seen as one, any more step requiring funds no matter how small for whatever reason is wrong and that project is likely a scam.

Thank you all for letting me know how scamming the project is. One thing is sure ''I won't fall for crypto scam''. I have removed their token from my wallet cos it annoys me most whenever I see their manipulating price or fake volume on coinmarketcap.

I think it is annoying things.  Why it should be happen? Audio money is really exist but we can not trade it.  If we see the money we feel so excited but we get upset in the same time.  I think it is useless.

I didn't participate in the airdrop of Mne, it was randomly airdrop to active cryptocurrency wallet just like kick-tokens, well the aim is to attract investors to buy the token and mind you, it's actually a scam play. Don't go near it in the market.

The team has introduced a small fee of ETH in order to activate the claimed Genesis Addresses.

That is what I saw when chacked coinmarketcap and seem like it's very annoying.

You have to spend your money first for something you have. Have you try to withdraw some of your token? If I were you I'll withdraw all my fund if there is no fee, I mean I don't need to send the ETH first yo claim my reward but if I have to send the ETH for my reward I'll leave it.

this happens very often when projects make airdrops with coins that are similar to their real ones, but we can do nothing with these coins. they just lie on their wallets. I already have a lot of coins on different wallets where there are many such examples
But why would the CMC list a project like that knowing well that it could be a scam? This is becoming really worrisome and the earlier that we had regulations, the better for the crypto industry. Enough of scam projects now destroying the fragility of this industry. And to the OP I would say, if something smells funny, don't take a bite off it.. This, obviously, smells funny.

I have someone who Participated too in the airdrop, he was very happy like you until we found out that he will send ETH to unlock the token or get the token working, that's when we knew that something is going wrong, airdrop participation is free, so how could they ask for ETH. Real Audio money, bunch of scammers looking for the vulnerable to dupe

Audio money indeed. I could imagine how happy you were when you view your wallet address on etherscan. There will be shouts of excitement that you have gotten a thousand dollar during this lock down. It's pitiful that it turns out this way. I believe next time you will earn your pay in crypto.

Everything thing that Minereum is all about is a big trap, the more I think about the scheme the more I see that only greedy one will fall victim here, the project won't work, it's all a great Ponzi scheme

What exactly is "audio money" by the way Smiley ?  I tried understanding the meaning before commenting but  found very little about it on the internet. Guess it's local/new slang or something?

Audio money is a local slang popularized by a local musician from Nigeria in the person of Rude-boy, (Nigeria is located in Africa) so I guess the OP is an African (Nigerian to be specific). The slang simple means fake money, that's money that can only be seen virtually online but can't be seen physical. Usually the celebrity are guilty of carrying out fake giveawaya or living fake lifestyle just to impress their fans which is simply tagged audio lifestyle/money. I believe the OP must have been so angered that he didn't realize he was contributing to a global forum and use the local slang or might have still been an intentional act nevertheless, the slang isn't that hard to understand.

Concerning your audio (lol) airdrop reward, well this isn't the first neither would this be the last such experience will be reported in the space, this scammers use this high reward to decieve gullible Investors into patronizing them but you're lucky you had a friend that advice you which resulted to you seeking this information by asking the community for opinion. The first reply should answer your question.
Thanks for clarifying such words, it save time to search from the internet just to learn the meaning of that slang terms. Moving forward with OP's concerned he's lucky to have a friend who understand what's going on with this project, that pal save his back since there's possibilities that greed will come over and temp him to deposit and upgrade his account.

Never heard that audio money and sounds new term for me. Is it a crypto lingustic term? But I do know that minereum airdrop  that given to users. 32k MNE are locked tokens that dont have value at all since you cant trade that for any major coins.

Its a long time project already and I can see that they make a good move for this year. Perhaps this time they have the guts to move forward but the marketing strategy they did is somehow deceptive. Imagine users will probably get tempt to buy due to their amassing big airdrop money. But unfortunately its just a scheme, that many airdropper fall for.

The fact that the token is locked in wallet and it's price is experiencing price increase sends a very bad impression about the project, aside that i have a lot people talk bad about this particular project as they claimed to be collecting some amout of ETH before they unlock the token and Vurtually everyone who have sent the the ETH didn't see their token unlocked

Seeing this topic in the sub-forum, what made me inclined to open it way to ask/know what audio money means but seems i already have my answer as tge context you used it for is self explanatory but to be honest, i don't think anybody should expect such a price surge from any guenuine project atleast not not in this bearish market condition. Reading through comments on this thread, i saw people saying you have to pay certain amount to be able to unlock the token, left to me i'd just move on as they'll end up scamming people

the project has existed since 2017 and looking at its graph it seems to me that the project is simply dead. I didn’t even open their website and did not see what they were doing, but seeing just all the information on the coinmarket, I would not invest in the project. you should sell your airdrop when you can.

Lies they are mostly liers. Most of the trading they put up are manipulated, that why you can see their price jump and dump at short time interval. I am not surprised about this and advice that the OP to trade cautiously to prevent not only losing time and energy but losing funds also

Fortunately or unfortunately, I did not participate in this airdrop. If you cant trade, it seems Ponzi at the first place. Is there any locking period they mentioned? Looking at the sudden increase in price, one may think to invest more and that the thing such projects want. I think you just hold it until it vanishes or able to trade.

Questions you should ask yourself is
1. Which exchange is this token listed on?
2. Is there liquidity for this token on such exchnage(s)?
3. Is there any form of development being done on this project?
If your answers come out as no, then you can't trade the token.
