Most of the altcoins will look weak while Bitcoin rises so strong, with the reverse most likely happening when BTC adjusts down.
As long as there is some type of foundation working on Auroracoin's promotion and use, it has more going for it than almost any altcoin out there.
I believe that now is the time to buy AUR, and am using the little BTC I have to do just that

I know the dev's are working hard on aurora but I always triple the time they say they gna get shit done in. Auro is a 10 year game for me. We only 2 years in.

While BTC is rising so strong believe that auroracoin will not rise
I demand second pump and I wanna see it reaching higher levels than in january '14. AUR is full of promise and lends itself to bumping the irelandic monetary system to the state where people can avoid intrusion of gov agencies into their financial history through crypto.

EDIT: also: noone has denied Icelanders anything and I doubt anyone in Iceland is purely in AUR with no BTC on hodl. That'd be "too many eggs in one basket".
This rally hasn't even started. Will icelanders start to notice and begin buying more auroracoin on isx.is. in order to get in on that bitcoin goodness?

"10% of the icelandic "social security numbers" (kennitalia?) we're used to claim coins" would probably be closer to the truth.
I don't mean to FUD about possible (likely) shenanigans with the airdrop process or even accuse anyone, but you have to account at least for the fact that probably a lot of Icelanders claimed coins for their friends and relatives.
10% is insanely high, I just don't believe it unless it's supported with some proof or at least indications. Before the first airdrop my hope was that 1% would claim their coins.
The more interesting question I have is: how many Icelanders (or internationals, doesn't make much difference) HODL any AUR?

There are only about 335,000 residents in the entire country and 10% of that is 33,500 not so far fetched after all.
I am a little disappointed if 10% of the country own the coin and the marketcap is still this low, doesn't leave much hope for a major price increase when you exclude children and older citizens.
The marketing of this coin is good but the development needs to improve, why not copy what Gulden have done and with marketing you will beat them.
Gulden is just a SCAM.
They are dumping the Premine very hard and also use money of the community to setup a commerciel business like Nocks.
All those people investing in it will earn nothing. (only early adopters)
Then they need shares and rent mining also payed by the community.
