No idea. If it has an effect (as in Icelandic people buying it), we will see it within a few days. But I hardly doubt it. Look at the comments on twitter, the ads have the effect we wanted (awareness in Iceland). This was intended as a slow wake up call to the Icelandic people. This will be a long term process until we get all things in place that are being worked on, this promotional ad was an initial thing.

This is the nature of markets. The bus-stop campaign was known in advance and therefore already incorporated in the price, even before it happened. People may even have understood this part of the marketing program to be something more than it really is – an awareness campaign – and hence had unrealistic expectations. The adoption of a country coin is a long-term process and I advise speculators to look elsewhere.

We are making a time-laps video of the campaign. Can´t promise we do all the 100 sites but close to it. Isk exchange goes live in a week or so but the beta fase is open and we have over 100 ppl that signed up for that.

The posters are in roughly 100 bus stops around the capital area. It's not bad at all considering our size. The estimation is actually about 6.4 million cars that drive past these bus stops every day. Might sound strange when you consider that there are only 330.000 people in Iceland and only 210.000 of those in the capital area. The fact is that many people drive past multiple hangers in their daily routine which is good as they get exposed to the ad multiple times during the day.

The rest of the countrycoins are beyond terrible. It's only AUR and Gulden that will make it. Gulden has the best development and AUR the best marketing. AUR doesn't have any competition in Iceland and that makes marketing more important.

Gulden isn't a country coin any more... they parted from that during the rebranding (the dev team stated that at the time as well).

Also, a lot depends on the team behind it (scammer devs that drop out after pump) and the country specific conditions (ISK has gone through a hard time since 2008 and people are completely fed up with the unreliability as a store of value of their everyday currency).
