So, guys, now that even Australia is on ugly anti-crypto wagon - who/what's left as the bastion, so to say?

Gambling in Australia is very restricted for Australian citizens from years!
It's normal to extend their ban/laws over crypto markets.

They are trying to limit registered local casino from accepting cryptos for betting  but they can't stop their citizens from using bitcoin they have to gamble in other pure crypto casino where there is no any KYC policy.

Australia is still quite crypto friendly country and they have also recently announced they will turn brisbane airport as most crypto friendly airport.

Australia didn't ban bitcoin gambling, the NTRC (northern territory racing commission) which is a regulating body you can get sportsbetting licenses from issued an informal ban probably just wanting to stop one of their licensees from accepting coins until they can wrap their head around it. Non-Sports betting (interactive games) are already banned in Australia which is why Primedice & Stake can't offer service to AU players. Click-baity headline/article.

With Bitcoins growth and mainstream adoption. There is going to be more and more regulation.

As a gambling service do you plan on complying with regulations in the future if they will make you require KYC AML from your customers?

Because think of how much business you might lose if all the G8 nations eventually ban gambling.

It doesn't matter whose next because they will take the ban away so they can regulate and tax the crap out of it. Look no further than the USA for the leading power and a bullish signal.

Exactly I think this is just a ploy of these government to ban cryptocurrency and then they will regulate it so they can get much money as they can. If you are the citizen of that country that banned crypto of course you would think that it is better to regulate it than totally banning it.

This politician are so greedy.

Or maybe they did this to create another license(which will be way more expensive) to discourage crypto casinos?

The gambling regulators are blatantly ordering all the crypto casinos to stop using bitcoins. They are not even providing any reason for this.
This shows how politicians are whoring for other gambling corporate(offline casinos) in the country.

This ban makes no sense at all. This portrays the fear of government towards chained currency. How they tend to ignore the positive points and passes judgement by just looking at the cons.
This adds to the reasons, as to why we need an onchain currency.
Greedy people in parliaments turned democracy into a fallacy, and bitcoin is making us realize this!

Why are you so surprised?

They will either ban it outright or they will allow it under regulation.

Problem with regulation is that unlike Bitcoin trading it would be very difficult to regulate especially with so many different Bitcoin gambling sites out there. Even the ones which are on chain and anonymous.

This is already an expected thing and expect there would be more countries would follow this banning trend. I do agree with with your point that it doesnt matter because soon they would reverse their decision and make regulation to shit out some tax of it which is somehow anticipated with this matter. We do know that government do really loves to control everything.
