be constructive or S.T.F.U
Not sure what he means by shady, but as far as resources go, Bitmain and MicroBT do a better job than Canaan, Bitmain has a lot of documents related to fixing, Whatsminer has an official telegram group with active members who respond to all sorts of questions, while resources on the new Avalon gears are pretty impossible to find.

With that in mind, I believe most of the resources of Bitmain are leaked from their private courses or from their distributors and overseas branches, so I think the community is a key factor in this, Canaan community is pretty small compared to its rivals Bitmain and MicroBT, so it's pretty normal to find fewer resources.

I have gathered that Caanon is really really shady
And you come to that conclusion because they will not release their schematics? Bzzzt wrong! Considering that Bitmain, Innosilicon, Hotmine, Bitfury et al not to mention video card makers, mobo makers, etc do not release their hardware and software designs to the Public by your reasoning they too are 'shady'...

Block halving is coming.
Actually, there are many people here looking for a schematic diagram of this unit but the problem is there is none.
You can only do is what Canaan suggested in the troubleshooting guide or use your knowledge as a tech to find the issue.

There is no difference between repairing old models and this unit so if you have experience with old models before then you can apply the method that you did from old models.

I just want to tell you that the "log description" from the Canaan website was deleted it is very useful in troubleshooting the miner issue.
If you want you can still download it here then go to manual and look for "Log Description".

Also, I think HagssFIN have lots of experience repairing Canaan machines you can check his troubleshooting guide from this link below

It's for old models but you can apply the solution to the latest models.

I have noticed there is really not allot of information on avalon hashboard repairing out there. I noted there is more stuff on overall trouble shooting of the miner itself and nothing on the hashboards. I have gathered that Caanon is really really shady and not even ZeusBTC has anything beyond a user manual. I am pretty much just making this post to gather up information on these from people who have possibly come across a resource that I haven't or has successfully repaired an actaul hashboard. I would really like to get my hands on schematics if at all possible, or maybe converse with someone with a good bit of electrical knowledge on these boards. I have taken time to compare the avalon 1246 and 1066 miners to whatsminer M20S and M3s, and just their general layout and stuff. I have more knowledge on Antminers, and whatsminer and avalon seem to be the most alike. I have a bit more information on whatsminer and my theory on avalon, but as said, it's all speculation. If anyone has further information or resources or honestly general knowledge I would be forever grateful for your time.
