I want to add modules to my avalons. Is the module itself enough or do i need other parts too?

My batch 1 generally run slightly better and amoother than my batch 2 but I have moved modules on my b1 and created a small gap between the top plate and exsaust side...... allows the blue light fan to work no problem on 100%

I thought 4 modules was the most? Where did you hear about 6 modules?

6 modules was a very early estimate before any batches were even shipping really.  It turns out they stuck with 4.

Somebody who has batch 1 is telling me batch 1 is better and batch 2 had problems. Is this correct?

FUD.  B2 is actually better than B1, better power supplies and better board revisions.  Any box sent out recently has solved those issues you "heard" of.

The Avalons will do 4-6 modules per unit potentially in future.

"with one more empty expansion slots, totally 4 slots.
If time permits, Avalon Unit in batch #2 will have 6 module slots, this is not guaranteed."

Which batch do people prefer 1 or 2? Which batch has issues?

I hear about people controlling the fan speed. How?

Is that the only difference? Are batch 1 and 2 modules compatible? I hear some units had issues.

They are compatible. You just cant mount them in the case of the other. But you can connect them to the controller and mine with them

The correct formula to calculate HW% is: 100 * HW / (diff1shares + HW)
You are probably looking at the number of shares, and not the number of diff1shares!

temp on one module is 23c other two 47c and 49c. why is one so much cooler? can you control fan speed?

also getting HW errors. so far 93 HW and 313 accepted. should it be running with no HW?

the 23c temperature is the temperature of your case and the airflow. This sensor is not attached to a module
