Perhaps. Or perhaps some people will order them for resale and accept other payment methods. Avalon's indicated that there's a market for resellers.

The funny thing is your $120,000 is still tied up with BFL and their "excuses" why they can't produce a working ASIC despite having 3 months advance on AVALON and likely 10 times the amount of customer funds.

Now they're announcing Batch #2 and increasing it not to 2,000, but a more modest bump from 500 to 600. This will quickly sell out and we'll never hear from Avalon again.

.Mt. Gox will likely take the wire no problem. When it turns out to be near impossible to jump in the Avalon queue and one wishes to get their money back, note that Mt. Gox will probably require one to supply them with an identity theft kit (scans of ID's and the like) just to get the same money back out.
Mt. Gox has a pretty spotty record with data security, though in fairness they've not had a severe problem (that has been detected) in some time and they've likely tightened things up a bit since the old days. But still, letting them hold such identity info on me, in perpetuity, is about the last thing I'm inclined to do.

5-10 min is optimistic, Chinese customers have 50 millisecond advantage however, thanks to Mr. Einstein

Are you shipping units daily? I think I read that you were shipping 12-20 a day?
Also, since you are better at meeting (and exceeding) shipping estimates, unlike your competitors, perhaps offering refunds if customers do not have their product in hand by XYZ date would put a rest to some of the concerns people have expressed. I would assume that at this point you have a good idea how long it will take you.
