They hopefully burn them in and start shipping then.

Yep, in august we can receive it and sell for 1/3 of payed price (or mining two years with same effect). Time is ticking and ROI in free fall. Anti client irresponsible bussines policy, nothing personal (need more money for cocaine?).

It's working great so far, I had a 3 hour uptime before, at 300MHz, then moved the machine to a new location and am working on an hour and a half at 325MHz.  I haven't messed with the command line arguments yet except for --avalon-fan.

Glad to hear.  Let us know how it goes if you decide to try 350, but that might be a bad idea if you only have an 850 watt PSU.  My 3 module units use 750 watts when overclocked to 350 so 4 module would surely push past that.

I bought the OCZ ZX 1250 just for this purpose.  If only I had my 4 module Avalons to try it out with.   Grin

Yes, obviously it is.  And it is obviously test firmware according to the avalon wiki site.  Did you not know that or were you being snarky for the sake of being snarky?

No, I wasn't aware it was a test firmware.  If I'm being snarky, you won't have to pose that question, because you'll know.   Grin

I deleted that reply as I was in a bad mood, but it was directed at Wayne.  Anyway, seriously, it is listed as test firmware and I was just wondering how it was working out.  Apologies to all as I think some of us are all stressed about our missing avalons.

I hear that, I was in a complete mindspin when I was trying to set it up because I was attempting to do it too quickly and messed with the network settings.  I'm tempted to clock it high as possible to make up for lost time, but the last thing I want to do is jeopardize the chips.

Obviously the firmware is 0723 version.

Yes, obviously it is.  According to the wiki, it is test firmware.  I was asking him how it was working for him.  Understand?

First get fan2 going, try using a pencil to help it a bit. It might help, or it might be broken.
Your temps are too high!!
Your ruining your machine this way without fan2.
Fix this asap.

I think I read on Avalons wiki that with new design they moved temp sensors so reported temperature will be +20 higher compared to old design. Also it has only 2 fans.

I have batch 2 avalon, hence the confusion. Avalon batch3 has two fans and higher temps as mentioned below.

My PSU is black. It says 850.. I thought it was supposed to be 1kw for these.. Im wondering if its adequate for overclocking to 325..

Splirow are you mining at 325mhz? Also what are your temps? My unit is in a 60deg F. room and im at 27/60/59

There is no reading for FAN 2, it just says zero, is that the case with yours as well?

My PSU is silver as you can see by the photos.

I am running at 325mhz and my temps are 26/67/54

Fan 2 shows zero also. I think the fans are 1 and 3.
