Hi,

Pretty sickening if true.  You're a lot calmer than I would be if someone was sitting on my ~75k and ignoring me!

Good luck man, that's a decent chunk of change.

1) He seems to forget that going the high tech route means that he needs the support of the high end users to support him in creating miners

2) He has already burnt ever single one of these people that would have been able to help him

3) Over priced and under spec'd

4) I sent a question about delivery (twice) for the first round on tradehill & never got a response ....

He really is delusional if he thinks he can operate in this manner with no consequence .....

Its no use. I now saw marto74's offer for the gen2-boards. They are priced for 16 chips at 129€. That means 32 miners for one reel. Makes around 30 Bitcoins. The reel costs 30 bitcoins too.

Overclocked hashrate of 750GH/s in total. Entering the details in here: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ shows that you never will come near to mine back the price for getting these miners. If your lucky you will get 2/3 back. So i stop here.

That is why Yifu/ngzhang is selling them.  Don't buy their shit.  Let them eat and choke on them.

I thought it was obvious that Avalon should crawl back to their first gen chips buyer(s) after the implosion here on the forums. Fool me once, shame on you!

Also... Yifu cannot be trusted.

Ya after my 4+ months late batch 3 I would not be too eager to order from Avalon again. Some people never even received their products.

Yifu said these would be Pin Compatible with the gen 1. They are not! So any designs for the gen 1 will NOT work with these. Know this before ordering any.

There is no reason for anyone to purchase these chips. They are  inefficient compared to chips that have been available for a while now (bitfury). They are priced way too high for what they are.

I'm not aware of any working board designs for them so it will be months until you are mining.

Unfortunately these +1W/GH chips are next to worthless very soon unless you live in China or some other place with around 0.02$/kWh electricity. And in addition to that there is a "slight" trust issue.. I'll pass.

Jop i made an error 1,3w / Ghs, but still you can order a knc jupiter for less and have a power usage <1w/ Ghs and even they will probably not payoff.

Actually you are not that far off, this is chip only, even with ultra-efficient VRM and PSU that runs at 90% efficiency, you are looking at 1.6W/GHs power draw just for chips alone at the wall.

What I don't understand is what is the purpose of low power?  It has worse efficiency 1.5W/GH compare to typical 1.3W/GH.  So it is literally low power usage only, but what is the point of using less electricity when you are also generating 13% less income per watt used?  This makes absolutely no sense, but then again this is Yifu, and he has no sense of good or bad and right or wrong, so it shouldn't surprise anybody.

BTW, Avalon is selling the 500 chips reels buy-it now for a low, low price of 30 bitcoins, so they are really seriously about asking for $6000 for something that you still have to spend more time and money putting together yourself and good luck getting Yifu to help if it ended up using twice the power at half the speed and died in 1 week.  There is literally no warranty and that's assuming you will receive the chips in the first place.  I don't see how anybody in their right mind will want to buy these for $6000.  But what's even more insulting is Yifu actually believes people are really that dumb.  Either that or he is just plain delusional.

Are these chips really compatible with gen 1 design?
they are not pin compatible, just see pinouts of both chips.
they have VDD and VSS on different pins.

and yes, Yifu can't be trusted ever.

I won't be participating simply because tradehill is not very accessible.  I much prefer bitmit for auctions.  (Am I the only one who sees a big middle finger when looking at the tradehill logo?)

Then there are the other reasons, like BitSyncom's history of screwing customers (trade-ins anyone?), and the availability of cheaper and more efficient mining hardware.

+ they use over 2 watt per GHs, just not a good deal.

Really? on the site it says:

Typical: 1.5-1.6 GH/s at a standard 0.9V, with 2.05W
Low Power : 1 GH/s a 0.8V with 1.5W

do you have contradicting evidence? or have I just been trolled?

Know what? You are right, go buy them.

Yes your math was bad but it's still not a good deal with correct math which is 750-800GH/s @ 1000W in a reel for 30BTC...
