Just as a side note, the Avalon Nano has a web interface just for firmware updates at: http://:9090

Also, if you want to control your Avalon Nano from the command line, I just made a tool for that... I have several around the house to help heat the bedrooms, and with this cli tool I am able to automate power changes through out the day, based on the production of my solar panels, and at night switch off the led for kids to sleep, all from cron jobs on my server and home assistant.

It was fun to build, check it out on github: https://github.com/prcolaco/avalon-nano-cli

So far my Avalon Nanos are doing a great job at both heating and mining! Have fun fellow miners! <3 Smiley

I know, but did you check which version you would install with that? It was an old version. All I'm saying is, that Canaan is really bad in providing support.

What version exactly are you expecting? The most recent one is the July firmware, which is included in that package; no new version is yet available.
According to this post below Canaan will start releasing open source firmware starting in December they didn't mention anything yet to release a new version for this unit.

There is no firmware download for the Avalon Nano 3. The website you are referring to is providing only the recovery tool!

Have you tried to download the recovery tool you should be able to find the firmware once you extracted the files from the recovery package included in the recovery tool for nano 3?

Also, it includes a video guide on how to install the driver and flash the unit with the firmware image.

Here's the extracted files from the recovery tool

it was on homepage to download, but they took it away. at the moment there is nothing to download for nano3 on their homepage. if anyone has any other firmware for nano 3 please provide it that i can try it.
you have to go to their website canaan.io/support/file_download, or when you go to their site, all the way to the right says support, and then click file download, they have firmware there to download

is there a way to change pool and settings on the nanos?

Have you checked the app called Remote for Avalon Nano? The guide should be in your manual to point you to download the remote app.
If you have Android phone you can able to download it directly from PlayStore and setup your unit there including the pool settings.

Or try to access the unit through the browser by typing the IP address of the Nano 3 and look for pool configuration.

Yes, of course or did I get you wrong with the question? Just login to the UI and change the parameters.

it begins to work and after few minutes it freezes. doesnt matter which setting ( low, medium high)

Did you try using a different power supply, either switching its one for a working one if you have multiple Nano 3's or purchasing a backup off Amazon?  I would also check to see if maybe one of the heat sinks are lose inside maybe or maybe in your case you need to add one to a chip that is getting hot?

I've nowhere seen a firmware. Maybe someone can help, but the official Canaan site doesn't provide one. Maybe you want to contact official support?

That`s much better than mine, what Firmware version are you on, I`m on: 24032701_48bd3a6

I get roughly...
Low: 1.5 Th/s @ 62W
Med: 2.7 Th/s @ 92W
High: 3.8 Th/s @ 137W

Here is my power from wall and hashrate
low 70W  2,1THs
medium 105W  3,2THs
high 145W 4,1THs
I run Nano3 on medium.
Because the PSU was very hot I driled holes in the housing which was good for low power mode.
Later I added mini fan and it no longer overheat.

What power level are using there?  and have you managed to get the full 4Th/s yet?
I`v been running mine for a few weeks now and it`s never hit 4, I`v been getting roughly 3.5(ish) at max like your logs show.
So I run mine at Med now and get about 2.7 Th/s and save myself 50W doing it.
