I uploaded a better version of the current one. (No DaDice logo on the side though)

I noticed a similar issue with my avatar. The image was squished horizontally. I was wondering if it was just a cookie/cache issue or something similar on my end so I opened up my profile and posts in a different browser, and the avatar looked fine. Now it looks fine in my normal browser, so it's probably a cookie or cache issue.
I'm a 'member' but don't see where to add an avatar. Am I permitted?
Full members and above are the only ones allowed to "wear" an avatar on the forum.

No.I see a gold border (only on the right) on the picture that is on the OP, but this is missing from your avatar. I don't think it is fixed
So basically it was fixed for a while. Both had gold border on the right. Now it's unfixed. No gold border. Spooky

@marco, here is the reason why you avatar took some time to change(earlier)- "After you upload your avatar, you may need to reload some pages to see it." , this is mentioned on the avatar upload page and is related to caching issues.

That's because when you change avatar its url doesn't change and there is some cache :
