What's an Avatar campaign?

Overview of avatar campaigns, but it is recommended that you join those normal sig campaign that gives bonus for wearing an avatar, which is required by most of the avatar campaigns there.
Even so, it would not be a lot, so why not have your own personal avatar instead?

Wearing someone else avatar and receive payment is better than wearing your own avatar when you are not promoting anything.
