This is true, however users on this forum especially could easily create an avatar that is different from another user's avatar because of only a few pixels, so it would be "different" but not noticeably different to the human eye.

I think it should be more obvious when you are dealing with 'trusted' people like theymos when you are dealing with an imposter as trusted people have positive trust while imposters will almost always have neutral trust (until their scheme is discovered at which point they will receive negative trust)

The size of the avatar should be based on last update. Keep the same avatar for 2 years and have it display as it is now. Wink

I think there was supposed to be a preview back in August, so I think they are behind schedule. Undecided

I don't care if it's late - just as long as it's done correctly.

I've confused you two before and others with the same ones as it's an easy mistake to make when people use stock avatars, but if you upload your own 99% of the time this probably won't be a problem. I don't think people should be disbarred from having the same ones, though.

I get what you mean now. I though you meant we should "contribute our own" avatar images on this thread, but in fact you would like us to suggest rules on avatar upload when the new forum software is live.

I don't think it will be implemented, anyway, even if it is implemented, there must be an option to upload same avatar for users even if it is taken such as users in a company, Trezor for example. So they may like to put the logo as their profile pic. So I don't think it is a good idea.
