I use this sollution. It runs the updater every 10 minutes.
Before it runs the Coin Updater it deletes the LocalCoinData.json file (resets stats)
30 seconds after starting.. it stops The Coin Updater.

Configuration in Awesome Miner:

This is what my "starting" batch looks like:

This is how my stopping/terminating batch looks like:

Works fine.. You get fresh info (no averaging) every 10 minutes Wink

thanks for the idea, it's very good. It can be improved, instead of using AM, using the windows task scheduler.

The trigger would start session and repeat every 10 minutes, you have the option of hiding windows, which would not appear bothering the desktop.

thanks for your help

ok, I have this approach functional... now if AM had the option of NOT creating a window that pops up on my AM machine when it executes a background command, this would work... Probably going to get pretty annoying however to have that happen every 10 mins...

Ok, it was a PITA, but I have this running where it does NOT open a command windows.  Basically you execute a .vbs script that can do it without opening a command window... you have to do that for the start and the stop... but it seems to be working fine... yeah!

Can you share your scripts?

Anybody know what the API is for the following block explorer?

I can't figure it out, the /api/networkinfo doesn't work for some reason, even though the explorer appears to be the same.

https://monerovexplorer.com

Edit:  Same with Loki's block explorer....I know I can use Hash Vault for Loki but I wanted to check it out & can't figure out what it's API is either.

{ CoinFullName: "Gincoin", CoinShortName: "GIN", Algo: "Lyra2z", BlockReward: 10, BlockTime: 120, BlockExplorer: "https://explorer.gincoin.io/api/getdifficulty"}
Let's see if someone can help me because it has happened twice. To start, there is a new version of AM.

Secondly, I left the GIN code line up, which I see as correct, but then AM does not indicate the difficulty. Many currencies to pass the process tells me that data is not needed. But in this case of GIN I see it correct, the currency is added, all the data except the diff are added, and that if you go to the website it appears correctly.

Any help please

The second plan process is running every few seconds and I execute it with administrator permissions

I also would like to be able to turn off the averaging on the difficulty.

Here is the case in point.  PGN goes through a retarget every 2016 blocks.  Because of it's net hash rate changes, that means that difficulty will go from 1640 to 450 from one block to the next.  As a result the block time will change from up to 10 mins to .2 mins.  Which means that when the diff drops to 451, the profitability goes through the roof.  But when that happened last night.  A miner using this external program would never switch to the high profitability of PGN because the network difficulty was only changing by some very small value at each update.  I could force this to happen by starting and stopping the external program.

A command line switch to force live updates, or better a JSON option in the config.json file should be added to enable/disable this feature per coin.

average is kinda messing up all. Instant would be much better

@sootha

Any chance we could get a command line option that will allow us to specify if we want current live data or what appears to be averaged over a 24 hour period?

I see quiet a few times during the day where difficulty drops dramatically on a coin, but by the time the coin updated catches up the chance of mining it for a higher gains has already passed (from a profit switching perspective)

Yes . Live data would be best Wink
Now Loki dificulty is 3,356,989,047 AMCU reports it at 3,604,949,358
Haven real 3,494,443,603 reported by AMCU 3,163,877,818

Both info from same source,,, but AMCU calculetes some 24 average ??
Result... mining the wrong coin.. not the most profitable one Wink

I solved this localy by setiing a script, that deletes the "LocalCoinData.json" file every 10 minutes Wink Works like a charm now Wink

Its AM abbreviating the coins decimal places 2E-06 is the same as 0.0000002

Its basically 2 with 6 zeros infront.

7E-08 = 0.000000007

21E-05 = 0.0000021

etc etc just an easier way to type it.

how I change the amount in satochis in the values we use in the awesome miner in  coin settings
Coin GINcoin  lyra2z
0,00049 btc

here no profit

Do not put it in the format that is requested, if someone helps me or gives me a reference link, I would appreciate it. It does not calculate the profit because it is not in the format that is requested.

when adding the currency to awesome, when specifying the price in BTC, there are numbers that I do not write, such as

2,344E-05
1,001E-05

Do not put the satochis in that format, so I would add a link, or converter to avoid having to ask more. thank you very much

Hi, thanks for your add-on, I have a problem with HSR, I think I have the code well, but it returns both the POS value and POW

{CoinFullName: "HShare", CoinShortName: "HSR", Something: "Hsr", BlockReward: 1.584, BlockTime: 120, BlockExplorer: "http://explorer.h.cash/api/getdifficulty"}

give this on page

http://explorer.h.cash/api/getdifficulty

And in awesome miner does not give me any value. I would appreciate any help.

Try with "ext/summary" rather than "api/getdifficulty", some coins worked for me after trying this.  So you use http://explorer.h.cash/ext/summary

that page does not exist in that explorer. If you read below it says which page is not available, basically it's the home
Looks like they're using a modified API. The correct link is "http://explorer.h.cash/ajax" but that also won't work in the program because the return data is 1) modified and 2) they're difficulty number doesn't follow the "difficulty" key.

Thanks for your answer. I saw that I did it well, but it did not work for me and I added more pools, that's why I missed it. Thank you for your comment.

Well, I do not know where to draw its difficulty, it is in pools like zpools but it does not seem to read the difficulty well, the case that HShare or HSR is interesting

I finally had to create an account to thank you for this little project of yours. It's very very helpful and I appreciate it so much man.

A few issues though:

https://explorer.gincoin.io/ext/summary returns this:

{"data":[{"difficulty":810.9084043374302,"difficultyHybrid":"","supply":1313061.27847809,"hashrate":"26.4618","lastPrice":0,"connections":115,"blockcount":44595}]}

However most of these block explorers  difficulty still display incorrect in Awesome miner

Thanks for the time you put into this. Address for tips?
I'm sorry I don't understand..  can you elaborate on the problem? From that number the program should grab it correctly but it will average it with previous data. If you want to clear the previous data delete the LocalCoins.json file.

BTC: 3BMEXzWNozUS2p8EBQz2pjhEUQM4yDApXt
ETH: 0xfa8eda5139Ec1EB480e5cc67e99920C70A8361C6

This worked great! Thanks.
Alot of guys are confused about the difficulty. Maybe explain it in your OP and how to clear it. Great work brother. This is legend.
