This forum has become a slavery market place, for the love of God ban all the low paying signature campaigns, I don't know if theymos ever thought about doing this or not? if there are no low payment campaigns then no body would create 10+ accounts in order to earn a good amount by posting nonsense over the forum.
Just ban them and see if the spam problem is fixed or not, for starters please ban any campaign paying less than 0.0007 per post, you'll see what happens, I know traffic is good but if these spams continues then visitors will no longer come here because they couldn't find something other than spammy posts.

In long term traffic will decrease, if you only allow the high quality camps then admins/managers would keep their participants only if they were good posters.
IMO all the low rate payment signature campaigns are the main reason for so much spam.

I'm glad bounties got its own section so I can block it, which is exactly what I did.

These threads are full of the worst shitposters I've ever seen.  Glad mprep is cleaning up the altcoin section somewhat.   I saw he deleted tons of garbage threads recently.   Bounties are much worse than sig campaigns IMO.

You cannot ask participants to post in your main thread, as kind of involvement in your topic? This is main problem , and reason why all those threads are deleted. Right?
It shouldn't be allowed. You could suggest it, but not make it mandatory I believe. This wasn't properly enforced, among other things.

Mprep does a very wise move, I strongly agree with what mprep does, it is an action moderator should take.
I don't think he acted on his own.

.. to my point of view

My announcement and my bounty campaign were closed and canceled without notice, posting the application in both threads was considered a giveaway, but it is far from a giveaway or a spam practice to my point of view

I also want to ask if it is allowed to submit the links to facebook and twitter retweets on the Bounty threads.
I think it should not come under "no on-forum altcoin" giveways rule, because it is people confirming their proof of work, I am right ?

My signature-avatar campaign was deleted, my intentions were not bad. We all make mistakes..I need confirmation that this one is ok.
Should i post payment confirmations in this thread?

I'm not sure i understood this, if I ask from participants to fill this form:
1.
Code:
Bitcointalk Username:
*
*
Wallet adress:

Is this against rules?

2. "You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc."
Then majority of signature campaigns are in contradiction with this rule?

No as this is an application for applying for a signature campaign while only giveaways requesting these details are not allowed. People only posting their addresses for free cash. Applications are not banned.

The original rule applied for the altcoin section, where you were not allowed to make giveaways in altcoins. Since they are in the marketplace section, it is qualified as a micro-job. Moreover, no address is posted in the thread, and there is no pay stated at the advance. This is just like corruption, it needs a defined amount for a defined service.

I think we should extend this rule to all alt coin campaigns as well and ban any that don't pay out in bitcoin. Paying people to post whatever crap they like without any checks is far worse and it effects the whole forum not just the shitcoin section.

but bounties are not giveaways.
bounties are kind of short term/micro jobs . we offer some rewards to users to perform specific tasks/jobs for us.. I don't think it should be called a giveaway.  nothing is being given away for free.

Posting in a thread is hardly a bounty. It's not only breaking the alt coin giveaway rule but they're also evading the one bump per 24 hours rule.

yeah i agree to not include "Must post on the ANN page every..." in the rules because it's just increasing number of spam ! They not really discussing about the project, they only post like : This project must be successful and bla bla bla, nothing really related with the system of the project, not discussing about the problem or the lack from the project that could be happen. I hope every bounty manager become better now after all this ban.

Bounties is very broad term which includes certain activities and tasks which you undertake like Facebook Like/Share/Comment, Twitter Like/Retweet, Blogs, youtube, Articles, Signature Campaign on Bitcointalk etc.
Excluding Signature campaign all others are external activities which are not undertaken on bitcointalk thread and thus help in controlling the quantum of posts and messages (SPAM) under each thread.
That's why comment on ANN or specific thread in not considered as bounty as per rules because it will increase spam and unnecessary or unrelated post. Moreover the use of Bounty is to increase awareness regarding certain projects for general masses so the comments on ANN thread doesn't really help in doing so as it might be flooded with fake post which might create a good/bad reputation for that project. I know what you mean. Think should be better to give a advice then closing the threads. But it's a rule and we have accept this.

I think moderator has right to Lock without notice .. else imagine they keep giving notice to every-other project and so many projects come up each week. Project teams need to do due diligence to abide the rules Smiley

Am I missing something? You can't do any sort of giveaway for any altcoin on bitcointalk? Or just in an ANN thread?

Not for posting. Bountys are possible. But you dont should write: "post here" in any part of your thread, and you are safe for mprep angry hammer.  Cheesy

I don't think so it is possible as per Rule as they have mentioned in the rules : You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

As highlighted by Moderator that's the rule .. Any Bounty offered for posting on ANN is considered as Giveaway which is not allowed in an sections.
It is not allowed as long as the bounty is something other than bitcoin. If you are offering bitcoin as a bounty then your thread will belong in games and rounds.

Its applicable for any giveaway post on bitcointalk .. no giveaway post ..

As per Rules of altcoin discussion :

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.
