did you get any share accepted?
i think it only active if your shares get accepted + you do verification if required by pool if any ..

No, I use the multi-x64 cpuminer and I think this does not show (yay and boo)
but this mine x11. which you use?

your problem maybe that the diff is too high, perhaps with cpu it might take a few weeks to get a share ..

i don't know if this process is translatable to x11,
but scrypt mining you 'd work out like this
https://litecoin.info/Difficulty#How_soon_might_I_expect_to_generate_a_block.3F

time=2^32 * diff/hash

with current diff at around 40, imagining a block every 10 minutes, using a quick switch around
gives
hash = 2^32 * diff/time
       = 2^32 * 40/600
       = 286,331,153.06666666666667

so a 286 mh/s mining rate might give you a block averaging around 10 minutes.

a cpu might give you hmm, maybe 10kh/s Huh a random guess  ( a low end vps might give you 1.5khs from memory) Smiley
10 kh/s would give you a block average 17179869.184 seconds, or 28 weeks …

edit.
if you're really keen to mine, best bet would be to hire some hash on http://miningrigrentals.com/
but at this price, you'd be better off to put a buy order in and wait for someone to sell you some

i looked at a recent stake and looked back to see how old it was..

block 15086,

mind you, these 5.4 coins https://chainz.cryptoid.info/b3/tx.dws?21283.htm
only took 3 days 17 hours …

so maybe those top two are in a wallet that was closed for a while ..

i believe that is the reason - hence my reasoning with this all ...

but you are more investigative than i Wink ...

the staking code is like many other coins out there - but unlike many others - b3coin is stil vey young with not a huge adoption rate yet ...

I still haven't been able to stake anything. How long does it take ? There was another coin that also said 0 network weight same as b3 but it staked and worked. B3 just doesn't seem to want to stake.
Do you have up to 1000 B3 coins? You will stake better if you have more coins.

Remember that B3 is till being POW mined, so POW mining is consuming a lot of blocks.

I used to have similar problem for many days, but things should resolve after a few days/

PoW shouldnt make any difference to the stake reward mate ...

the percentage for staking stays the same - just the weight changes ... so when you have more coins - you stake more often - but you still get the same percentage ...

so if you have a small amount of coins - it will stake - just much slower - no matter what the PoW hashrate is ...

#crysx

That is what I though. Noone is buying b3 the price gap is huge. The coin does it stake doesn't it ? Who know ? Noone can tell me how the staking works oe how long it takes so I'm going to presume noone actually has many b3 coins. Also the other coin I speak of is FRT and it is staking with only 250 coin. Which value is like 1250satoshi-3000satishi and had next to no weight but still it stakes. There was this and crab coin but crab is looking very dead. This looks not good either. I am sad Sad
My wallet has been offline for a while. I will start to stake and see what happens.

you are one of the bigger investors in b3coin - so your wallet is important to the over staking ...

same with anyone that has quite a few coins ... and any one that has the option to have their wallets open all the time ...

staking does work from what i can see ...

but you need a good weight - as well as the network - to roll staking blocks over ...

i think you are right though - there is not many that have a huge amount of coins in their wallets - to give a heavy weight to the staking ... but that will change as time moves on and as PoW mining is increased ...

josh has already said he is working on a new fix for the compilations - and im working tirelessly on the backend infrastructure for cwi - which will mean we will have a more solid back end soon for b3coin and the other coins we are supporting - including our own granite ( grn ) ...

so keep your wallet open - unlock it if you have a password ( otherwise it wont stake ) and let the fun begin Smiley ...

its a new coin - so just give it time mate ...

I have disabled stakeing for the pool wallet. Payout problem from yesterday got resolved and i checked latest withdraws: working.
Efficiency is most likely always on 100% (i moved the stratum yesterday to a phsyical server instead of a vm).

you should NEVER stake pool wallets mate ...

it locks funds that belong to miners / customers that they cannot get access to IF they decide to remove the mined coins from the pool ...

stratum can run in a vm - but its VERY slow and does not as well as a full vps or stand alone machine ...

what os are you using for it?

How can I increase staking amount? I've got 4000 in my wallet, but stake amount only 40.
Just keep on staking, the other coins will stake after a while.

POS rewards will increase when we get to block 15,000. Just check the first page of this thread.

i dont know debian based systems well enough ...

if something breaks under my watch - it can cause some issues bumba ... and im not willing for that to happen with something as important as seednodes and daemons ...

we have found a few issues and have prepared to fix a few things ... josh is doing a whole lot in the backend for the fix ...

as for me - ill maintain the redhat systems ... too many of them now to relearn Wink ...

the new fedora 24 x64 server is brilliant - but uses gcc61 - so breaks the compilations in a lot of coins ... until they upgrade the syntax to the new gcc611 ...

may end up going with the fedora 23 x64 server - which works as it does not have the crippled openssl integrated and the secp256k1 curve and gcc53 ... then upgrade later when all the coin devs catch up with the new c++ version ...

isnt this fun? ... NOT!!! ... hehehe ...

#crysx

any reason why not install older gcc on fedora24 ??

its too much work - as gcc61 is inherent in fedora 24 ...

of course it can be done ... i guess its more s more a time / effort situation than anything else ...

ill setup a development machine just for this - and see what happens ... not using any production machines to 'play' Smiley ...

time wastage again? ...

chat tomorrow - im off ...
