I'll tell you something, he bought this account from the owner with the intention of joining signature campaigns and making money ASAP, but he was both disappointed and lost he had to ask for direction like a newbie that he rightly is.

but I also doubt he's a Newbie. that's because he performed the teleport function of the altcoin forum with that account.
I don't believe a newbie can do something like that even though the steps can be learned, but I'm sure a newbie's thinking won't go there.

If the new owner buys the account, unfortunately, he doesn't pay attention to the reputation of the account. maybe that's what the new owner should be concerned about, not how to get Merit to join the campaign. because the account's reputation is probably why the campaign manager will always ignore it.

I was surprised as well when he mentioned not being active in the form for only a year and getting confused over what've been there before your assumed temporal withdrawal from the forum. Its not convincing to me at all, even if I was a baby. This account has a very high possibility of being purchased by a newbie and he just asked the question like what he rightly is. Its evident because up till now he doesn't even have a single merit in the last 120 days, meaning he couldn't cope and he's not ready to learn. I'm convinced He just bought this account to start earning straight up without learning, but nemesis caught up with him straight up.

Even though there is no history log of changing passwords or emails from that account, I still believe that this account is operated by a different person from the first account owner.
he asked about Merits, whereas his current ranking did not require that. and what is even more doubtful, the account already has a history of receiving and sending Merits. so maybe it was done by the previous account owner that the current account owner doesn't know about.

The story now funnier than ever that someone who was sending and receiving merits in the past suddenly wakeup and forget everything to the extent that he created a thread to seek direction when he should be dishing out one. When you leave something for a while, no matter how long, its easy to find your way back no matter the upgrades, you only need some reviews to familiarize yourself again with the whole process and you're good. In his case he went on leave from the forum and coming back, his brain got formatted and the forum became very new to him.

This topic Merit & new rank requirements was created by Theymos on January 24, 2018, while your last post before leaving the forum in 2022 was made on April 03. Approximately four years and two months before you were last active on the forum, the merit system was already in effect on the forum. You should better understand how the merit system works in the forum without having to create this topic which gives the impression that you are like a Newbie who has just joined the Forum.

There are lots of posts that can motivate you to get merit, you can find quality posts on Global Boards and Local Boards. Learn slowly how to get merit, you will get a lot of knowledge about how to get merit after reading constructive, informative and quality topics.

Firstly welcome back to the forum from your long reses. 1 year is actually a long duration of time to keep away from forum activities which would definitely keep you updated and prepared to face practical experiences. I believe since you where able to make a 1k+ merit without buying the account, you will definitely get passed the thought that says you cannot get back to your formal post quality level. I doubt that you'll be needing any guidance on how to go about this forum when you already know how things work around here, your merit status tell otherwise, even if you've not been active for a year +

I have been off for an year or so and wanted to restart getting in to signature campaigns..

However I see many of the campaigners ask for merit points which one must acquire during last 120 days or so

It's easy for few members who are posting some main topics however for regular members I sense it's a tough thing to get merit just like that ...

Would like suggestions from co members which will be helpful for whole of the community to get tips to get few merit points

TIA
Taking about a year off from the forum is not a long time, there is a lot that has not yet been lost in memory because normal human memory can generally record something for more than three years. I admit, the nature of forgetting is an inseparable part of humans, but if you have interacted with something in the past, your memory will automatically come back to life when you want to do it again.

In the past maybe you didn't get much merit because of the Legendary Rank you achieved from Airdrop merit when the merit system was introduced to the forum. I see you already have +51 of the nominal required for Legendary rank, meaning you can already understand how to get merit. I can only motivate you to get merit because it feels a bit strange if a Senior Member teaches Legendary.

Is good to have some rest op, because senior members don't use to rest in this community and they move from one signature campaign to another, base on they have all the requirements the managers demand from the participants.

For the merit aspect, is very common these days to some managers in the signature campaigns to concentrate on merits earn in last 120 days than quality post, which is a big challenge to those who are no longer active to earn merits.

Welcome back to the community op, I know that it will not hard you to get merits to join any available campaign because legendary members use to have some skills to make some quality post that will attract favor to them.

I don't understand, why are you sounding like a beginner.
~snip~

Do you wonder how you sound when you bring up a 4+ month old topic (and this one is not the only one) and you actually try to repeat what others have already written? There are much better and more meaningful ways to write something on the forum.

I don't understand, why are you sounding like a beginner. Even if you left the forum for years or months you will still know what to do to earn merit and considering the fact that you are a legendary, if i have this number of merit you have I wouldn't be posting to get merit anymore. They always said once a Hunter is always a Hunter so no matter how long you been off in this forum it shouldn't affect you completely.

Greetings! Good to see you awake and active after your long hibernation. I’ll assume you’re aware of the primary way members earn merit on here. By making a good enough post that could interest/educate someone else. You’ll find a good number of  people appreciate learning something new.
You mentioned getting into a signature campaign. Fresh from hibernation? Keeping aside the red tag on your profile which could thwart your chances, it won’t be so easy getting accepted as you’re just waking up. Engage members in intelligent/ informative discussions and generally get active.

Sadly, the tags on your profile aren’t reassuring either.

You have been away for a long time. A lot has changed since you were last here. One of the big changes is the introduction of the merit system. Now users have to do more than just make posts to rank up. I suggest you take a look around and reacquaint yourself with the forum. It shouldn’t be hard for a old member like yourself.

He was not away for that long. He was active in 2023, 2022 and 2021 as well.  Also, he does not need merits to rank up, since he is already a Legendary rank member.

I see you applied for Stake campaign. I’d like to point out to you that the merit requirement is not your only challenge, your bad reputation is also a problem. You have to proof to the community that you’re innocent of the accusations in order to rebuild your reputation.

Thats true.  His bad reputation is a much bigger issue than his lack of merits.  Merits can be easily earned if he makes an effort, but solving the negative tag on his account and rebuilding his reputation is a much more difficult task.

The best means of earning merits is to contribute positively to the forum. You should be able to solve the problems of people to get merit. If your post is enlightening or educating you will get merits. But the major means of contributing positively is by studying the Bitcoin space. So you could invest more time to research on issues that relate to the forum. Also, there are some boards in the forum that attract more merits, you could check them out.

I am doubting if it still the original owner of this account that still posting from it, based on this sort of question it's something that would be expected from a newbie or someone who has been here but had not gotten any growth at all.
You have gotten the merit of a legendary member only to come back to ask for ways to earn few merit.

Most of OP'e merit came through the initial airdrop after the merit system was introduced. He has been away for a long time and maybe the forum has changed to a large extent especially in the requirements for signature campaigns.

I am quite surprised when you asked how to gain merits but when I checked your post history is that you are posting on 2022 and in 2023 both in December when the merit system is implemented on January 2018 that's why it is suspicious that you are not the real owner of the account and also the account is having a negative trust feedback because of promoting a shady business and having scam accusation against the account. If you are the real owner then merits is not of your concern as you already have earned 50 merits because the 1000 are airdropped when the merit system is implemented.

I don't think merit points are your biggest concern. Your reputation is tarnished, and your account has been tagged due to your association with the scammer and your involvement in promoting the "unnamed.exchange" scam.  I doubt there are many campaign managers (if any) who would hire a member with your history.

Welcome back! Since you’re interested in joining signature campaigns, merit is not your only problem. You have negative feedback on your account, campaign managers usually do not accept applicants with negative feedback into their campaigns, it gives the company you’re promoting a bad look. I think you should work on repairing your reputation first before applying for campaigns.

I am doubting if it still the original owner of this account that still posting from it, based on this sort of question it's something that would be expected from a newbie or someone who has been here but had not gotten any growth at all.

I guess you missed his responses on that subject. He already addressed the issue in the first three comments in the thread.

A lot of People are about to Start coming Back.

Earn Merit by Posting on the Forums, People will award Merit when they see the Posts are Good. Really, it has kind of Died Down, I don't think the Merit is Really moving. Like STEEM, Merit had a lot of Activity while I was on the Forums before, but when I left the Forums here kind of Died, Everyone Followed me to Steemit and HIVE, those are now the most Popular Cryptocurrency Discussion Websites.

But I am here now, so there will be a lot of People coming. If you wanted, you could Write a Thread and then PM People that you Remember from before, and ask for Merit. I'm sure with Your Account Status they would be Willing to Help.

Welcome back to the forum.

Since you're looking to get into a signature campaign just post the way you would if you were already chosen to join one of those campaigns and it can get merited by others. The merit requirement is not very steep, most of the campaigns require an average of 5 merits within 4 months, so you have till April to get that.

Just focus on getting back in tune with the Bitcoin space and the forum generally.

I know it would be bit difficult as Merit has become basic criteria for one to be considered for any signature campaigns and I was in similar situation couple of months ago as I had taken break of roughly an year but trust me it's achievable and I did it just by being myself but yeah it would take couple of weeks or months and all you need to do is be active in this forum and be interactive by making knowledgeable posts and responses, share the important crypto related stuffs be it learning or technique or even about any potential scams or warnings because you get mert when others find your posts helpful.
