Most of the time, I have noticed bitcoin always do opposite of what people are predicting. When bitcoin was 1300$ this year, alot of people are already expecting 20000$, some are even predicting 50000$. In my view I always believe doing opposite of what people are predicting in this space is way to go by.

Well for one it was possible for the altcoins to get to their ATH during the last quarter of 2017 up to the initial slump of 2018 so I guess in my own speculation there would be a second "rennaisance" for cryptocurrency within the next 2 - 3 years. So if you want fast buck with cryptocurrency then you need to learn how to deal with day trading or short term trading where you can earn profits in hours every day. And that is the easy side. Others use ecommerce to earn cryptos.

OP, as you can see we still have a lot of time before the end of the year and in crypto anything can happen, so all hope is not lost yet. Let us wait and see if those speculation will be true after all.

Crypto prices for the past days have been so bad, literally no improvements, bitcoin, the leading coin has only been moving with the same 9,500-10,300$ axis, although it was projected that the price rise to 20,000$ by the end of the year, is this still achievable?

I think the decline in bitcoin prices is still within reasonable limits and the price will return again above $ 10k. The end of the year is still a few months away and I think bitcoin can reach a price of $ 20k because there is a lot of good news in the coming months

this is crypto and no one can predict what will happen next, if you look at the price of bitcoin in 2017, it seems like $ 20k can be achieved, but again we all don't know whether it will really be achieved this year or have to wait many years, just waiting patiently Cool
It's really difficult to predict, because price developments are influenced by market demand and supply that often impact on the news and rumors. It's pretty complex, so I sometimes always think that luck has a big influence. If we are at the right time, with lots of luck, we will definitely get a lot of profit. With a history of soaring price increases, it is possible that the price of BTC can rise again.

There are always bad times in every businesses.  Bad days in crypto sometimes it's an opportunity to get some assets less pricey, i hope the bullrun season in 2017 comes up, but though ain't expecting something as massive as that.

That benchmark can be achieved given a lot is at play, may next year is halving hopefully the surge keeps building towards then. The market is volatile once more it keeps at it from time to time.

It's normal for this type of market to be experienced once in a while. Its merely a correction if I may say. The market volume is really down but its a good time for investors and traders to stock up their bags and wait for the rainy days. This kind of bad days won't last.

How does current situation affects bitcoin price in a half of a year? I expect huge growth in autumn, maybe even by the end of August. It's quite hard to pump the market in Summer when everybody is on holidays.

$20k by the end of the year is achievable but it's unlikely to happen IMO. I'm guessing that we're likely to see this by next year or beyond that.
I'm optimistic but settling the factors and the rough road that we're taking today, I don't want to have high expectations.

True! If not this year then next year there's a huge possibility for the bitcoin's price to shoot up because the next bitcoin reward halving will happen in the next year and many are saying because that price is bound to rise.
Well, we have a lot of years to take and hope for $20k to get back on its track. I don't want to rush now, the market is growing slowly and that's perfect for crypto. Unlike looking at it as rushed type of investment where dumping can be as fast as pumping.
I'd even more like it normally, accumulate why you can at these periods before we reach back to $20k or more.

Right now the situation differs from the end of 2017. Domination is at very high level and to reach 20k price is doesn't looks as science fiction movie. Personally I like more organic growth followed by good news from regulators.

I don't want to sound as I don't believe in the crypto space but I have chosen to stop believing in any prediction as they don't normally work out and when it doesn't it bring discomfort etc. Yes this few days the market haven been unfriendly but however the price of Bitcoin will surpass 20k$ but on one knows when, it might be this year it might be next that how unpredictable this space is.

I agree with most comments. It's still achievable. No one ever know that BtC will reach 12k in a matter o months after testing 3k earlier this year. 20k is possible and its in view soon. I believe

This is common with us all, we want the price to just keep rising, and when we see a little delay, we all feel agitated, nothing to really worry about, if the price continue to rise without any form of stability like this, the market will crash in time and the bears will take over again prematurely which we all would not want. There is still so much of rooms for further development and I think we just used one month from the remaining half of the month.

I believe that there is still very grate increases that lies ahead of us for the remaining part of the year, most especially the last quarter of the year, let’s just take this quarter like it is doing the necessary corrections to give room for very high surge that will make us to be able to achieve that price value by the end of the year.

In my opinion, I think it is still achievable.  Nothing is impossible here in cryptocurrency. Never say "never."

There could still be an improvement in prices and things will turn out fine

Some predict a rise in bitcoin to $ 1,000,000. But that doesn't mean they have to believe. Analysts such as DaVinci and McAfee have a lot of time was wrong

No one said that the growth will continue constantly. Before the start of growth, usually there is a period of correction, when the price begins to decline slightly. Therefore, it is possible that by the end of the year bitcoin will still overcome the mark of 20 000 dollars.

If you bought some crypto try not to think for one year or so only. Think of it as a long term investment and you can reduce chance of a loss.

And never panic sell at every market correction.

There is nothing wrong in dreaming about a very high valuation and to think that the price would touch another high time valuation before the end of this year is just too high, anything could happen with the price of bitcoin as the market always surprises us but to think that the price would certainly hit an all time high valuation before halving is just day dreaming. The price right now is not bad either and if you are planning to invest in it you can take this opportunity to invest in bitcoin and wait for the halving to see those valuations.

Bitcoin did marvelously well by hitting $13K+ and the movement created a big FOMO, that even former investors who thought the end had come had to quickly be buying. We are currently resting from aggressive growth of the king.
