Intel will have a higher percentage of defective chips, so they will lose the fight if they start dumping in the market. It is not yet known whether Intel will use LHR solutions for their video cards. Probably, powerful video cards will appear on the market in the 2nd quarter, but it may be very late. Demand for video cards will fall.

So far Intel has promised to not limit their chips and GPU-s as Intel plans also building ASICS beside GPU-s.I don't see any reason they need to do that, they are the new comer here and want to crush competition (in theory at least) so if they copy the competition no one will get them seriously.I have much faith in Intel as a company being one of the biggest in the world with the most qualified people (supposedly) at their site.I think we can start to see Nvidia coming quickly up with non LHR new GPU-s if Intel really brings on good products to the miners.

This is just a probability, I'm not judging until the GPU is released and someone finally give it a try on YouTube, whatever the results will be no one knows for now.

Intel is the newcomer here and based on those links it doesn't look that promising however to be sure we have to watch them in action, see the hash rate, power consumption and stability of this Arc GPU before jumping to conclusions. In normal conditions when a new competitor wants to enter in a business area he usually brings a better product compared to the competition (if he is serious about his business) and also a bit cheaper just to get the market share.Let's see how Intel will play this game.

True and I do hope they will shake the GPU industry to boost it up, new engineers, new point of view, new vision, technology is constant needing of that.

Else it's funny how NVIDIA CEO reacted to the announcement of this new toolkit, he appear to be scared of this competitor  Cool

Does this means that current GPU prices will go down? I hope things get right because even though mining eth is getting harder GPU prices still remains and worst is getting more expensive than it is. Hope things gets better with new competitions like this comes to the market, it will help a lot.

don't hold your breath. Intel will align its pricings to those already existing. Absolutely no reason for them to lower prices. The demand remains high and will continue to be high... The 200/350 eur GPU range is long gone/dead and will never come back. I'm not negative here, just realistic.

It could be the same as AMD GPU one since both of them are using OpenCL to run the mining algo.

Here's how Intel arc GPU will run GPU parallel programming (GPGPU):
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/overview.html
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/documentation/get-started-with-dpcpp-compiler/top.html
https://www.khronos.org/sycl/

Thus only nonLHR NVIDIA GPU will still rule the mining world if it's just a matter of performance between OpenCL and CUDA for the same GPU price.
