Personally, I do not like the use of abusive language on the forums as well. But this is internet and you will always meet different type of people here with different maturity levels. In case, you feel that certain user is repeatedly abusing other users , you may try reporting this to admin. But the posts you quoted made use of words like clowns and all and were used in general. This much can be tolerated in my opinion.

I think that is just normal and this is a forum and there is no need to be formal because again this is a forum.. Many people are used with using foul languages and we cannot remove it some people find it funny and some find it as a superiority and they really don't care because even if they say some bad language people would never know who the hell is that person because they are just using an ID... soo all you have to do is to have a transparent mind and think that this is only a forum and don't make it personal..  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

you'll be strangled by my nutsack wrapped five times over around your windpipe

top 10 ever insult there.
Was trying to demonstrate how much fun can be had without actually using curse words.

*Gets 10 merits*

Hey, is this some of that jerkle-circusing merit sources and senior members keep getting accused of?  Keep this up and they might start accusing us of being homer-sensual preverts.  Once I finish cleaning up the nocturnal emissions from my linens (my fault, not yours), can we get this thread back on track?

Who is accusing who of what exactly? can you be more precise? I am not sure that I get your meaning? That doesn't sound like a very nice thing to be "accused" of for no reason at all. Are you being accused yourself ? are you one of these senior members someone is accusing of something?  Is this worthy of a thread or are you happy to just whine about it all over the place to people you consider a suitable audience. I would take your concerns to other boards. Maybe try bitcoin discussion or alt coin discussion or some board most users might give you some real feedback. I don't think echo chambers are the best place to keep sniping about it.

Come I will "help" you prove that your posts in particular are crammed full with infallible "logic", sound reasoning, free from all contradictions, "exemplary" morals. I will help you prove without doubt you are "deserving" of those merits and there are no grounds at all for this cycling merit groundless nonsense. We have time machine evidence too on our side.

We can easily count on a DT member, merit source and "senior member" like you to dispel any such accusations in no time I am "confident" in this.

What do you say? or should you just forget about it all and stop sniping on about it still?

This is a straight up offer of assistance no shit. I will put lots of effort in for you. This is not a joke or insincere gesture. If you think you have been accused of something and there is no corroborating evidence that is observable by all then we should put them right, they will have no choice but to stop saying it because they will just be demonstrating they can not interpret the evidence correctly that we have provided for public analysis. I think this could redeem the entire merit system actually and make a good case for the fact it is more accurate that I had previously suspected of representing post value and the users fine character.

Let me know when you are ready to start .... you can count on my "support". I'll check back later to get the go ahead to start compiling a case for us to present as soon as I hear or send me a PM - no foul language though i don't think it will aid our case and the entire forum would be a better place without it but trying to stick to that at times can be difficult.

You have no idea how tempted I am to take the bait--but if I do, one of two things is going to happen:  you'll be strangled by my nutsack wrapped five times over around your windpipe, or I'll get my post deleted.  Thus I will spare us both the potential indignities and cease writing now.  This is one of the times I don't trust myself around a keyboard.

There's no such thing as "bad language," there is only bad people, and language.

I would say people who tirelessly promote "passive income" schemes are probably worse than people who use swear words, as a whole.

This post is just offensive words and nothing more. Maybe such posts isn't something what we need, but in this context it made me laugh Cheesy
That post made me chuckle as well, and I'd say that it was some well-placed profanity, i.e., it was perfect in its context.

I used to use foul language on bitcointalk a lot more than I used to, though I just made a post today that wasn't exactly clean.  Vod always says small minds use profanity, and although I disagree because the statement is too broad, I do think swearing a lot on a discussion forum gets very old very fast, and I try to limit my F bombs and other bad words.  I'm generally not trying to irritate more people than I already do.

That said, I always find TMAN's profuse profanity extremely funny.  I think I may have posted that already in this thread, but I'm too lazy to check.  He manages to curse in a humorous way, which may offend some snowflakes and may be against the rules, but I'm cool with that.

It's not a problem in my opinion. People become to sensitive nowadays and they get offended too easily. Sometimes offensive words are really needed to express our feelings, offcourse, it's not good to overuse it. You want to say that you're not using such words in your life? If yes, I don't believe you. Our minds shouldn't be censored and sterile.
Personally, I rarely use offensive words in this forum because it's not my style. But sometimes I feel that I'm behaving too much politely here, like Bitcointalk would be an official environment.
P.S.

this forum seems like giving zero fuck to bad language , for this its becoming a garbage.
You really cannot expect everyone to behave in the way you feel is right, trolls happen everywhere, everyday and you shouldn't expect less on a public forum with diverse individuals.

I do not think this has affected the forum in any way neither will it, if anyone cant stand trolls, simply ignore threads were users troll,or if it's an excessive troll you report it to the moderators

for this its becoming a garbage.

I would say a larger problem is people reading a title and not absorbing the threads content. This can lead to bumping a thread that has been inactive for 8 months, and adding nothing of value.

I was born in the wrong era. Everybody these days seems to be a little bitch, political correctness is rife, everybody gets offended about the slightest thing.

Fuck off OP, get a life.

Would being able to liberally use every slur whether racial/sexual in nature really be worth not being around for BTC.

I have never used offensive language on this forum even once. I think I am this kind of person. I have sometimes a burning desire to throw few f...s left and right but I can always stop myself and be polite even during quarrels.

There is nothing in forum rules about bad language. I just checked again and found nothing so I think this is just allowed.
